Busy Saturday night, have to admit we first tried to get in at Pho, luckily for us it was too busy so we tried Sabai and weren't dissapointed. Although very busy, our friendly waitress found us a spot for 2 and presented us with the menu. A couple of Singha beers and complimentary Thai prawn crackers and we placed our... More

While didn't blow me away, it was better than a lot of Thai restaurants I have been to in the UK..staff were very friendly, the weeping tiger (spicy beef) was a good starter...both mains had good tasted and the veg cooked had a lovely fresh crunch to it

Well couldn't book online the website said fully booked, so we went down on spec, it was empty, not so lucky as it turned out. My starter Sabah Thai rolls was nothing to write home about, but the Satai chicken was lovely my wife ordered them. Cocktails were good value and tasty. Chicken Mussaman was okay except the potatoes were... More

I have eaten at Sabai around 4 times and have always raved about it. I was so excited to take my boyfriend as he has never been. The male waiter was lovely and served our drinks. Then came the starters. We asked for barbecue chicken, dumplings and duck spring rolls which came out as veg spring rolls. My boyfriend and... More

Our 19 B&B recommends this restaurant amongst others and we thought we'd give it a try. It's right by the Pavilion and a quaint but welcoming space, there is a waterfall feature where I think there was once a fireplace. The service was friendly and efficient despite it being busy for a Wednesday night. The food was really nice, I... More

Managed to get a table last minute for a group of 5. Nicely decorated, cosy restaurant with a good atmosphere. Interesting menu allowing you to choose set menus from different regions and plenty of other options. Ordered the panang in the end with coconut rice and it was delicious, didn't feel too heavy and good portion size. Everyone else really... More

I'd highly recommend sabai thai, the food is delicious. As a vegetarian thai food can be hit and miss for me as once you take out all the fish and shrimp based products you can be left with quite an anaemic plate but sabai met all my dietary requirements whilst retaining all the flavour! Great service too!

We had a set lunch here, with attentive service and the Thai red curry was very good. The drinks are a tad expensive but the location is very good.

Description
Sabai show's tremendous consistency having won a certificate of excellence award for the last 4 years running. The Thai word Sabai translates simply as relaxed, the perfect description of this Brighton gastrobar where the urban cool of London on Sea is matched to the ethnic charm of the Land of Smiles. Bringing a taste of Phuket's beach bars and Bangkok's most upmarket restaurants to the UK, Sabai is all about chilling out, South East Asian style a fact which is patently clear from the silk floor cushions, cocktail menu and warm, smiling welcome. The deep red and dark wood, gold and green interior is as beautiful as Sabai's freshly cooked, authentic food, MSG free and made using local ingredients where possible and imported Thai herbs and spices where essential. Because everything is made to order, special requests are welcomed.
