Sunday lunch was very busy but we found a good table still. Ordered roasts all around which did take a fair while to come out maybe an hour but when they finally came we were not disappointed . The roasties were lovely and crispy and fluffy inside, the Yorkshire puddings were fresh and crispy. Vegetables fresh and well cooked and... More

We lunched here on the hottest day of the year. This pub/restaurant had friendly and efficient staff, a nice atmostsphere about it and an enticing menu. We tried the pate, minute steak and the sticky toffee pudding from their set lunch menu. Each course was delicious and not stingy in size. I would highly recommend the Preston Park Taven for... Friendly and responsive service with a chilled atmosphere, the Preston Park Tavern is a great stop off for some fish and chips with a pub atmosphere. Succulent cod, covered in a fine tasty batter with chip shop style chips ... Yum!

We were visiting Brighton for our son's graduation and had rented a house in Fiveways. We fell upon the Tavern on Sunday and are so glad we did. We can honestly say that we had the best Sunday Roast ever. Wonderful fresh ingredients, melt in the mouth roast beef and huge quantities. The sausages in the pigs in blankets were... More

Came in last night - Tuesday evening - service was golden as always. My usual barmaid was running the bar on her own when it was packed. She was clearly trying her best but we had to wait a while for service as it was so busy and the other girl was not helping her to serve people. I ordered... More

We booked a table for about 10 people for 8pm, the pub was very busy, well it was Saturday night. The staff at the bar was not very organised..we were in a queue and our bartender just walked away and served others who came clearly after us...All three behind the bar did not realise that people actually queue to order....... I have eaten here quite a few times now, both off the main menu and Sunday roast menu. This is one of the best places in Brighton to get a roast! The portions are big, meat really well cooked and they offer at least 5-6 veg on the side! The staff are really lovely here too! It is busy and... More

The staff were lovely and gave my children colouring in to keep them busy as they are only 6 and 8. We all went on a sunday for a roast and it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was nicely decorated but as it got later ( 7pm ish) it started to get a bit noisy and full of people at... More

Description
Locals and foodies mix in this delightfully bright and cheerful family-friendly food pub – a hidden gem, which has remained busy and buzzy since it opened six years ago. Something of a local institution, this fabulous pub serves good honest food, prepared with skill and passion. Beautifully prepared roast meals are served on Sundays from 12 to 6pm. With superb Sussex reared meats, a vegetarian and fish option as well as small portions for children, it’s hard to find a reason not to visit.
