We were here on a Tuesday evening. We had a reservation and got a really nice table. We had the evening menu with 2 courses for 14,95 pounds. My husband and I were very happy with the food. I had the super food salad and was surprised, how tasty and delicious it was. For dessert we had the brownie, which... More

Nice restaurant, friendly staff, Italian food with a twist. Not cheap but reasonable value. Would visit again.

I usually get one of their specials with low carb, but we can't resist their pizza. They have a brick oven and we love to watch the cook make ours and bake it. Pizzas are nicely coked with the crust still a little soft and it doesn't droop when you pick up a piece. I'm on a low carb diet... More

We visited Jamie's on a Saturday and it was busy, but saying that they did find us a table very quickly. We tried to book before visiting the sea life centre but they hadn't opened yet so as there was no signal at the centre had to take pot luck. Being a gold card member we were well looked after... Let me start on a positive note...the staff were really friendly and apologetic. Having the insight to accept criticism, in my book, is the key to good customer service. However, unfortunately I have to say that the food was dreadful. For example, my chips were chewy and the pizza undercooked. The restaurant appeared to be in total chaos with the... More

Visited Jamie's at 6 pm for a pre- Theater meal. The food was okay, but the experience seemed to lack something, cannot put my finger on it. Did not match Gun Wharf (Portsmouth), always served with enthusiasm. Arrrr enthusiasm/passion was what was missing. Previous experience has been, service was enthusiasm and passion when explaining the menu with a smile.

We visited the resturant for lunch - initially we were told 30mins wait - we had a drink at the bar...... after 40+mins we were seated. We were asked for drinks, which took over 20 mins to arrive the starters came out but was wrong, the mains came out - pizza was salty and undercooked, sent it back and decided... More

I visited the branch on Victoria Street, London, during a Thursday lunchtime. When I arrived there were a few people at the tables and the restaurant continued to fill steadily. The formula starts the minute you walk through the door. I asked a lady behind a counter if i could get a table for lunch, and she just pointed to... More

Family of six came here for a birthday meal; very disappointed to find that much of the menu was not available and service was extremely slow. This was lunchtime on the Monday so very little excuse for being unprepared and understaffed. Will not visit again

Description
JAMIE'S ITALIAN BRIGHTON A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. The lovely Brighton restaurant is located on Black Lion Street, a stone's throw from the seafront, nestled within Brighton's famous Lanes. The rooftop terrace is a great spot to enjoy a drink and a bowl of our freshly made pasta or a burger after a trip to the beach, or relax in one of the cosy booths and watch the chefs at work in their beautiful open kitchen. There's something for everyone here, whatever the occasion - a quick bite with friends or a big family dinner - come in and soak up the atmosphere while you tuck into some delicious Italian food.
