Impromptu supper with friends at this delightful restaurant . The menu isn't huge which I think is a good thing as some try to cover too much. This does not have a take away - it is a really comfortable sit in restaurant with nice decor and calm ambience. Staters were large ( humous more than enough for 2 &... More

We ate here on a Friday evening, having booked a table. Glad we did as it was very busy! The food was delicious with generous portions. Service was friendly and we weren't kept waiting. Highly recommended!

Went to A Taste Of Sahara last night with 2 close friends after the whole day of discussion of where to break our fast that day. We had seen that they had a set menu for Iftaar which was very appealing to us and only for £11.50 we thought it was a bargain. The restaurant is very appealing and is... More

I love this place for Middle eastern cuisine. It is at quite competitive price too. I recommend the mezzo. It's plentiful with a good variety. Delicious!

My family booked this restaurant for my birthday meal and we were very impressed by the service and the meal. The waiter (probably the owner) saw I was given some flowers and immediately put them in a vase which I thought was a nice touch. Good, varied menu and really delicious meal. Attentive but no over the top service. I... More

We have lived and travelled extensively all over North Africa over many years, In fact we just returned from a week in Marrakesh, which we love. The food in this restaurant is better than anything we experienced there! It is superbly cooked and presented, by an obviously dedicated chef. The owner and his staff are friendly and welcoming. As a... More

First time I've written a TA review, and almost didn't want to as this restaraunt is SO good I wanted to keep it a secret ! Food quality, taste, and presentation is better than you can get in the countries the dishes come from. All home prepared, beautiful fusions of flavours, and the manager and service standards were really friendly... More

Description
A Lebanese and Persian restaurant on Brightons busy Western Road, Taste of Sahara gives seaside dwellers a taste of the exotic at a very reasonable price. With its dcor created with care to reflect the atypical Middle East of story books and holiday brochures all pierced tin lanterns, heavy wood and rich colours Taste of Sahara has a look which reflects the diverse flavours of its immensely flavourful menu. From kebabs to tagines, all ones Middle Eastern favourites are offered by the Sahara kitchen, along with some lesser known dishes that will tempt the more adventurous diner. In particular, the restaurants mezzes prove popular, the sharing concept somehow suited to this kind of cuisine, particularly when accompanied by the BYO policy.
