I dined her as a party of 19 for a hen-do in May 2016. We ate fresh delicious food, drank lovely drinks and were served by accommodating staff. What more could you ask for? Thank you.

Went for sushi but we're very disappointed. However if you're interested in some of their mains, they have a lot to offer. We tried the salmon teriyaki and were pleased with the fish- veg was very bad(looked like overdone frozen veg). Sushi selection was small and what we got was nothing special.

We visit Brighton 6 or so times a year and often choose Murasaki for high-quality, fresh, delicous and reasonably-priced Asian fare. The location, just off 7 Dials, is also advantageous. The staff are very courteous and the Murasaki Bento is a treat.

Excellent little Japanese restaurant. On our 3rd attempt at eating here we finally got to try it out. Wonderful dishes on the menu which were thoroughly enjoyed by myself and my boyfriend. The plum wine was a rather nice and different drink to try. A very nice setting but I imagine on a busy night it may feel a bit... More

This place used to be the best place Japanese restaurant in Brighton several years ago but unfortunately I will be staying well clear of this place now, overpriced for the food they produce and always short staffed. On my last visit I was given tempura vegetables which were very greasy and the chicken yakitori was a poor imitation of the... More

I really didn't want any more sushi thank you. This restaurant serves really delicious food. If you want run of the mill sushi you can have it here but if you would like something not so ricey choose a nabe where you have a meal of fish or meat in a lovely stock and when you finish they take the... Decent food, good price, OK venue (though does feel cramped when busy). Four stars for this place, pretty bog standard and you know what you're getting.

Tasty starters however when the main course came out there was a problem. Ordered Vegetable yakisoba, menu didn't specify there was egg stir fried with it. Politely asked the waitress for a replacement. The chef/owner appeared from the kitchen extremely defensive saying we should have specified that we didn't want egg. However as it want listed in the explanation of... More

I've been to Murasaki about four times and it's always great. Homely, rather than mega posh, but all the better for it. Not too expensive and the sushi is always top class. I once had a fish stew there that was so full of deceased-but-delicious sea creatures it took me an hour to eat.

This is my favourite Japanese restaurant in Brighton, not only for it's lovely food, but also it's cosy atmosphere. Unlike many other restaurants which can be noisy and feel cramped, this has just a few tables and is a really pleasant dining experience. The staff are always friendly and the service very prompt. And if that wasn't enough, the food... More
