Dropped in here before a gig at the Dome. Hadn't booked but they found us a table on a busy Saturday evening. We had the Nachos to share then a Pulled Pork Burrito and vegetarian Fajitas. All very good, tasty and hot. Reasonably priced too.

We had a wonderful selection of tapas food here and also had some lovely wine too. It was quite empty though which was a bit of a shame, Hope it survives-as we will be back!

Super friendly service. We were in a huge rush and they gave us the food mega quick but that did not ruin the high quality. The pricing was fair too.

We found this place while strolling and had tapas for dinner. Delicious! Lots of choice and decent prices. 7 dishes plus a portion of bread and one alcoholic drink came to £40. Really lovely place and hope that the huge Wahaca two doors down doesn't give them anything to worry about.

Came here, with the intention of having Mexican but after seeing the menu opted for Spanish Tapas, sat outside eating and was not disappointed, all the classics you would expect, and very tasty not disappointed, not amazingly cheap but quality food for the money , A few doors away there is a large Mexican chain restaurant opted for this smaller... I've been here on several occasions with my bird. We really enjoy the ambience - not too busy and feels very authentic. The food is delicious and the staff very attentive. And really great value for money to boot! My only criticism is that the portion sizes are slightly too large - I always leave feeling slightly on the bloated... More

Stopped in for quick lunch. Loved it. It's not outstanding but it's tasty, served quickly and with a smile. The food looks good, portions are good and has bags of flavour. Sat in the sun in late October, people watching. What's not to like? Really. And £20 for 2 people including drinks, for the lunch menu. Yep.

We are from the States and lived in an area overrun with amazing Mexican restaurants. We live in London now and we're surprised that some of the best Mexican food we've had in a long time was in Brighton. Delicious!

Good selection of tapas attracted us to this city centre location, where we had a variety of dishes, that were sufficient for our lunch-time visit, with the package also including a glass of wine. We chose to sit out on the street, in the October sunshine, and enjoyed our "Spanish Style" experience here.

El Mexicano sits in the heart of Brighton's theatre district and prides itself on being the only authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. Buzzy atmosphere is fueled by vibrant Latin vibes, music, cocktails and food. After your meal, visit Valentino, the art deco style bar upstairs, which is licensed until 2am.
