Lovely restaurant incorporated into the castle, lovely views across the coast, friendly helpful staff as one of us had dietary requirements. The food was really good, not to much choice on the menu; burgers, sea food, soup, paninis and breakfasts along with tea cakes and cream tea but we still enjoyed it. We had soup and paninis which were really... More

I absolutely love the staff at this restaurant which treat us so well due to our many visits. This is one restaurant which cannot be missed as the food is fantastic and the views need fail to impress despite coming a myriad of times. Would recommend to all of those that are in the area

This is the second time that we have eaten here, the first time being last year. The food, both times, could not be faulted, very nice for both a light snack or a full meal. Value for money was good as well. The staff were polite and not rude, but don't seem to be able to cope under pressure when... More

Very well prepared & tasty light lunches. If taking a dog one needs to either sit in a side area (which was acceptable) or outside on the veranda with fantastic views.

After spending afternoon walking we found the seventhwave a much needed relief . There is wonderful views which can be enjoyed on cold, windy days inside . Or there is an outside terrace for warmer climate which seemed also mesmerising with views .My 4 companions went for the Dorset Apple Cake which is a very more-ish local recipe and myself... More

Visited for afternoon tea following a brilliant walk around Durlston Country Park. Tea was great but choice of cakes was poor and uninviting. Staff were terse and unfriendly. Will bring a flask and own cake next time.

The views are stunning the food is expensive. Had a small pile of smoked salmon with two halves of brown bread (not even a full sandwich) for over £7. Suggest you just have a small coffee.

Whilst on a walk from Swanage to Durlston Head we stopped at Durlston Castle and went into Seventh Wave restaurant for lunch. You find a table and then order and pay at the counter. They make your drinks whilst you wait and you take them on a tray. There is a printed menu and a specials board. Because we sat... More

We visited this lovely place today. I've lived in Dorset all my life and it was the first time I'd been here. It was a dull, very windy and cold day but we received the warmest of welcomes. It was really busy but the service was brilliant. The two ladies behind the counter were friendly and made time to engage... More

Stopped in here for tea having climbed up to Durlston, and ended up with cake as they all looked so delicious! Very generous cake portions and decent prices, including a gluten-free brownie and millionaire's shortbread. All were delicious. Service was friendly, and it was lovely to sit outside overlooking the sea on a sunny day.
