Our first visit to the Digby Tap. Recommended by a local person and we were not dissapointed. Well kept Beer and good wholesome food at very reasonable prices. Oh for my local to be this good.

Just had a few beers but the lunch menu was fantastic. They do not serve food in the evening. So many knooks and crannies to sit in, and an outside area. Small and very old ,many different ales on sale which is the main reason for the visit. Many people were eating lunch and everyone seemed well pleased.

Almost don't want to review so that I still stand a chance of getting a table for lunch! Love this place. Is exactly what a pub should be. Don't expect gastro food and farrow and ball paint. This is a proper pub with an ever changing ale selection and very very well priced food for lunch. It's popular with locals... More

Sherborne offers plenty of choice for eating. We chose The Digby Tap, hoping for a good pub-style lunch stop. The posted menu suggested largely standard pub fare, but when the specials board was posted outside, we found a much more interesting selection. Inside, this is definitely a traditional pub (and a free house), catering particularly for locals who want that... More

Popped in here before going for a meal with friends. A great old fashioned pub atmosphere with a good selection of real ales. Why gobsmacked? My first pint (Hoppa) was only £2.80 !! Followed by a pint of (Dorset Knob...Honest) at £2.40 !!!! Yes that's right £2.40 !!!! I can't remember paying so little for good beer. Must be at... More

Would that other townships could boast of such a convivial oasis. Go there and soak up so much, including the special atmosphere prevailing.

Called in to sample from their selection of real ales and was not at all disappointed with the choice available. Very friendly and helpful land-lady and also what seems very friendly locals. This place reminds me of how pubs used to be !
