I hope it was just an off day when we stopped for cream teas yesterday at Turnbulls as our experience was much different from the reviews already posted! The waiter was inexperienced and inefficient he left two cups for three people, one cream instead of two, two knives instead of four, and only two serviettes! This was unfortunately topped by... Really nice tearoom with fantastic cheese selection and a deli shop. If you are in Shaftesbury you have to try Turnbulls especially if you're a cheese lover. Fantastic friendly service and it oozes quality in in its products and service. Highly Recommended.

Found this place by chance when visiting on Thursday. What a great find, lucky Shaftesbury if I lived here I'd be in all the time. My friends and I come here every Friday for coffee after dropping the kids at school . I love the happy hour and that take outs are only 98p!! It in my opinion the best coffee in Shaftesbury is found here .The cheese deli is amazing too. I have one criticism and that is the butter is served too cold... More

Stopped here just for a coffee which was one of the best tasting coffees I've had in a long time. Didn't have any food but the dishes being brought out to other patrons looked good. Place was clean, service was good. Guy behind the deli counter quite happy to let me try his cheeses.

Located on Shaftsbury's main high street Turnballs is a rare treat. You enter via the shop entrance which has a great selection of cheeses on offer. To the rear is the café which has both inside and outside seating, The menu is interesting, I had a Welsh Rarebit with a poached egg on top! Service was good but can be... More

No doubt we had a lovely lunch, extremely tasty. The decor is charming and they were bust but you don't feel crowded. Small complaint but they got my drink wrong and I heard another lady complain her soup was cold. The staff seem a little inexperienced and perhaps lack guidance but they were very lovely and accommodating.
