Very pleasant hotel with good courtyard for lunch. I had a good hamburger and my friend had the gazpacho soup. Service was fine and I would visit again

I have eaten here several times. I have ordered fish and steak and every time the food was good and delicious. Location is very central. Enjoy!

Booked by my office, this was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel is very comfortable and has none of the chain-hotel boredom. The building is lovely, the staff are in refills helpful and they kept the kitchen open for me when I arrived at 8:50pm so I could have dinner. Food was better than expected in my experience and the... More

Most restaurants in Shaftesbury seemed to be closed on Sunday evening but luckily for us, The Grosvenor was open and we had a delicious meal there- so much so, that we returned on Monday evening even though there were other well reviewed restaurants we could have gone to

Very pleasant surroundings. Loved the big comfy sofa's where we sat to have a drink before lunch. The restaurant was very striking. A combination of historical architecture with large mirrors and bare wooden floors. Lots of covers and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to hear what was being said when the restaurant filled up for lunch (I... More

lovely place for snack in the afternoon after missing the lunch menu. Good polite service and an excellent pint of Dorset Gold. Not really a fan of any food that ends in a vowel, but the pizza was hot, tasty and fresh. Will go again when in the area

It was a rather nice evening earlier this week when we saw the courtyard through the glass doors off the pavement. It looked very attractive so we went in. The courtyard is quiet and sheltered from wind and a delightful place to sit on a summery evening, complete with a fountain and a certain amount of planting The service was... More

Looking for a relaxed evening with good food and found both at the Grosvenor Arms. Staff were attentive and food arrived swiftly. Lamb and Plaice both cooked beautifully. Breakfasts on both mornings were good with staff ready to make individual adaptations to the menu. Room was excellent... we will be returning!
