I have been visiting since the 1990,s and I have never been disappointed, well done, it so good that some things remain constant. Very good value and good food! Very helpful and friendly staff. The cakes are truly delicious.

Really impressed with how professional the young waiter was who served us. He was very polite and considerate. I had a brunch of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, so delicious! I found the eggs a bit milky as prefer them without milk. But really like this cafe and they serve my favourite tea in a pot - darjeeling. So really... More

Visited Dorchester for a few hours, searching for somewhere to eat and came across Potters. Next time I visit Dorchester there'll be no search, just a bee line for this place. Food (baked potato with sausages this time) was really tasty. Good service, happy staff. Deserves the full five stars.

Cute little cafe off the high street. Staff were very friendly and polite. Had a great selection of warm & cold drinks, as well as lunch & evening menu. Definitely recommend!

Potters cafe/bistro has two entrances, one from Durngate street, where you can access with a wheelchair. Alternatively you can enter by the side of Waitrose, and down steps into a lovely shaded and unshaded garden area, very civilised. The staff are very friendly, polite and service is prompt. I noticed as anyone entered they were all greeted with a cheery... More

Just off the main street, this cosy place offers a friendly welcome, newspapers and a warm fire if needed. Upstairs there is plenty of additional space so rarely full. We have seen others enjoying the full English but have managed to resist this ourselves... So far!

Very friendly with a cosy warm atmosphere. My husband and myself went for lunch. he ordered chesil beach caught mackerel with salad and chips. It was absolutely delicious, the mackerel tasted fresh from the sea beautifully cooked with with tasty chips and a great dressing on the salad ( something often missed from salads in uk). I had a delicious... More

Loved, loved, loved...It was very simple and very relaxed however, when I walked in I felt like I had just jumped from the street right into the page of an old book! For some readon I actually wanted it to be December and I wanted that fireplace to work, a book...and way less sugar in my hot chocalate! Seriously, that... More

Excellent little cafe with some great choices on the menu - lots of varied options to suit all appetites including unusual items. If you want something different from the standard sandwiches and cakes this is the place to come. Friendly 'cafe' style service. Recommended.

Slightly hidden off the Main Street but well worth spending the extra 1 mins walk. We could have ended up at Costa but saw this down the street out of the corner of our eye. It was open on Sunday so it was perfect for our lunch time visit. Staff were very welcoming and when we had settled and ordered... More
