Went in here for a quick lunch with our 2 dogs on a Monday. Friendly service with a smile and although the menu could be classed as basic pub food the goats cheese pizza and spicy beef chilli were very good. Nothing much to look at from the outside but nice inside. Good value and decent sized portions. No complaints... More

Excellent selection of ales, good staff and pub food. Good atmosphere and nice clientele. Will definitely visit again when next in Bournemouth.

On my brief trip to Bournemouth, I spent much of the first night trudging the streets in search of a proper pub. There are a couple of wetherspoons pubs in the town centre, always a good backstop, but everywhere else seemed to believe that it is necessary to bombard you with massive TV screens or loud music. Standing outside my... More

From the outside it doesn't look much but venture in and you find a cosy old looking pub with friendly staff and customers, along with excellent food. Thankfully they are also dog friendly. For any smokers, they have a small area undercover, rare these days when smokers are considered the worst people on earth. Visit it, you won't be disappointed

We only come to Bournemouth so we can visit this amazing pub. We come about 3 times a year. They have up to 11 guest ales. We work our way from the beginning to the end. (Not always in one sitting). The food is truly great home cooked and wholesome.

Been here a few times staying overnight on Business. Beer is good, staff great, didn't try the food. Nice atmosphere, seemed a good mix of regulars, out of towners and students. My favourite so far.

This is one of the best real ale pubs we have been to - 11 hand pubs - mostly Wadsworth admittedly but nothing wrong with that - all in good condition - really nice place to spend some quality time - we did eat and in our opinion it was "just pub food" nothing wrong with that but nothing special... We decided to eat here while on a short break and was really disappointed .I decided on fish and chips and feel the oil was ready to be changed !!! The fish was burnt and the chips must have been cooked in same oil as they tasted of fish too . My wife ordered chicken and her chips tasted of... More

Another evening at "The Goat", thoroughly enjoyable. Early doors to make sure we "bagged" a table, as once you have your table it's yours😀. Couple of drinks waiting for our friends to arrive we simply relaxed. Checked out the menu, all happy. 1 goat burger, 1 fetta salad and 2 goat currie's along with another round of drinks. Very good... More
