Chose this pub as visiting Bournemouth with two dogs. Dogs were welcomed with smiles and fresh water in dog bowls. My husband and daughter's boyfriend chose Manchester beer which went down very well. Daughter and myself likewise with hot chocolate. Warm friendly and comfortable.

Good choice of ales and food, reasonable prices. Friendly staff who went that extra mile. The act of kindness (i.e. Free pint) was very much appreciated.

Wow, what a good selection of beers! The food was good too. Bar staff very helpful. I couldn't decide which beer to drink, so was given three different thirds. This is an unspoilt pub, not modern, but good value and popular. It is a little off the beaten track.

Chose to eat here during a short break in Bournemouth. It is mainly used by locals - probably because the beer was very good! We also had food which was hot, quickly delivered and tasty. Not really the place for an intimate dinner, but we knew that before visiting - so it met our expectations.
