Really nice experience at Amala, lovely ambience and, good service and beautiful healthy food. Interesting thoughtful food and drinks menus. The mocktails tasted very realistic, even better than the alcoholic versions!

As my husband is vegetarian, we like trying out new vegan and vegetarian restaurants. I found this one on google that was open on a Sunday on the train on the way to bournemouth. We were looking forward to it We got there and waited for a long time at our table with no menus. Eventually I followed the lead... More

The title to me is a bit under what I actually feel about this place. It has such a wonderful vibe that it feels like being at home! The interior has a selection of being near the floor for the traditional table and chair. It really lives up to it's name!! If you're into vegan food or want to try... More

Oh my word, this place ROCKS now! This is vegan food right up there with the best. It's a shame I don't live closer or I'd want to take up residence permanently. If you think I'm exaggerating, check out my other reviews, I don't have time for average and the food here just blew my socks off. Message to owner:... More

Popped in for bit of lunch after not being too impressed by what Westbourne had to offer. Loved the look of the place, comfy seating areas, great mix of people who had come to enjoy. Loved the look of the menu, dinner menu looked great, would be good to expand the lunch menu with some of those options. However, the... More

We've been to this restaurant when it used to be Zoukinis and couldn't wait to try it now it has become vegan. We were not disappointed, interior hasn't changed that much although they do now have outside seating, We started with soup of the day, rainbow cold and raw soups and raw zoodles medley with teriyaki sauce at 6 pounds... I used to have good vegetarian meals in zoukini and I was looking forward to trying the new Amala vegan restaurant. It wasn't too bad. The place is basically the same but the menu is more expensive and much smaller. The service is good, the staff very friendly. I wouldn't say the place is children friendly at all though, they... I went here with my Husbands family who are vegetarian. The food was pleasant, and service seemed good! I am not vegetarian, but it was nice to have food that didn't centre around meat or fish.

Amala Conscious Food is a vegan restaurant and whilst neither I, nor my husband, are vegan we still enjoy vegan food on a regular basis. This restaurant was a real find. The decor and ambience are very soothing and spiritual, but the vibe is buzzy. The food is really creative and beautiful to look at, whilst also being extremely tasty... More

Went for an evening meal with my partner and dog. Every table was full and I could see why. This restaurant has a personal feel being small but adequate. The meals were well cooked and very flavourful. There was enough choice on the menu but over large so you could tell it was all homemade and fresh. Will recommend

Description
Established as Zoukinis in 2008 as a vegetarian restaurant, this gem has recently undergone a major facelift and is now called amala. (2016) Amala is now a purely vegan restaurant offering a conscious eating experience with what some would call 'vegan gourmet cuisine' with delicate and robust flavour and texture combinations - all purely plant-based. Whatever it may be, we are committed to offering real food, prepared simply and with love, using organic and local ingredients where possible and practical. Many of our 5 star review mention the friendliness of the staff, the soothing and calming atmosphere (even when we're busy which is more and more!) of the environment and of course - many takes pictures and comment on the delicious food! Most important to us is how YOU FEEL at the end of the MEAL (or experience as we like to call it). That is our focus and our strive. Daniel & the team at amala
