Pleasant Saturday evening meal. Food was enjoyable and service by staff was good and friendly. Was a busy evening but no problem with service.

As usual Cranks delivered top quality wholesome food. Warm and friendly service and a good table to sit at. Had soup shared with my husband and a lovely vegan kofta with interesting salads. Was happy to see the quality of food was still very much the same. I would certainly recommend eating here. Thank you 😀🤔

Visited on Sunday 31st July and after reading recent reviews much leaning towards being negative in this instance I can completely disagree. I don't normally eat at vegetarian establishments but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed eating here!! The homemade homity pie along with the extremely fresh salad was absolutely delicious and have zero complaint to make. My other... More

Thought we would stop for a pleasant light snack but now little more than a Subway or Greggs. Baguette fresh but invention missing. Much the same room as the old café but somehow the 'feel' and 'quality' of the old café has disappeared.

We called in for lunch as one of our party of four knew of it and is a veggie, not me I hasten to add. I was not looking forward to the offerings, but was surprised by the excellent salad which I had. The staff were friendly and helpful, and able to advise on the best mix of salads, avoiding... More

A quick coffee and a piece of cake was the length of our visit. The coffee was a good quality , the cake was fresh and the staff friendly . Plenty of tables and chairs to rest your feet.

This has been going since 1961. The food is ‘wholefood vegetarian’ the type of food that any vegetarian will recognise as delicious and very hard to come by. You can eat a tasty and filling ‘guilt free’ meals here - no chips or deep fried ‘Mac nastiness' here. It is a self-serve café type experience. Why aren’t there more of... More
