Very disappointed having visited today. Surprised lunch doesn't start until 1230 in the summer but it what it is... having ordered we received the wrong order, despite handling the sand which by us to check contents and eat a few chips, it was duly collected and given to another table. Once the order arrived there was nothing very 'club' about... More

Good homely food and fantastic staff, we love this place. The burgers are delicious and the chorizo chicken pasta is bursting with meat. They do a lovely cider called apple bee and it's a fabulous place to sit outside by the river. Definitely worth a visit.

The Watermans Arms is hidden at the head of a tributary of the River Dart and is well worth seeking out. We stayed for one night and had our dinner here. Apart from the beautiful setting the next impressive thing were the delightful staff, very welcoming and helpful. Our room was a good size with all the facilities needed, tea... More

We stayed here for a week in July as recommended by a family friend. It's a beautifully set inn, right by the riverside as the name suggests. The Watermans Arms is a warm and friendly establishment with well appointed , and daily serviced, rooms. The staff were very friendly and went "the extra mile" to make myself,my wife, and two children... More

Possibly the best small 'boutique' hotel I have ever stayed in - beatifully appointed rooms, idyllic setting, better than average pub style food, friendly, efficient service!

Stopped off for a coffee and a beer. A lovely atmosphere! Lovely Landlord. Great, chatty locals. A typical, town boozer. Gents was antiquated, but clean.

We had a week's stay in Tuckenhay and visited the Watermans twice. Both visits were pretty much faultless. We sat out by the river, watched the wildlife go by and enjoyed some fantastic, wholesome pub food with a few drinks. NB - having a sourdough bun with the burger was a massive hit with my girlfriend. She's still raving about... More

My wife and I returned for lunch there today - 1st visit for a couple of months or so. The riverside setting is just as idyllic as ever - horses crossing the ford today - ducks and tiny ducklings to feed - fish jumping. As usual we we sat right on the riverside. Sadly there was no kingfisher for only... More

Went here for an evening meal while visiting Stoke Gabriel. It was a lovely atmosphere and super cosy! I had the baked sweet potato with goats cheese, rocket and onion marmalade which was incredible! The service was great as well as the food. I'd love to come back when the weather was better to sit outside and see what the... More
