We were travelling past on A385 when saw a sign indicating the place and thought as we hadn't eaten and it was nearing 8pm that we would try here. It's a bit of a trek off the beaten track but once we arrived here we thought it looked idyllic beside a river as my family and dog sat outside and... More

Very pleasant pub - group of 9 of us sat outside by the river enjoying good pub food in the autumn sunshine. Good choice of menu - our teenage son said it was the best chicken burger he had had! Very friendly staff. Will be back 😁

Located by a bridge and the river the location is just perfect (see photos). Well known locally for its amazing Sunday lunches (huge portions, I had a child portion and that was huge as well!); come early as gets very busy - if too late - then the soda bread with meat and coleslaw equally good - as is the... Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was lovely. We ate by the waterside, the weather helped but the views were lovely. The service was quick and the food was faultless. Would recommend and will definitely eat there again.

Just returned from 3 night break with friends. Been here many times before but not in last 6 years. As ever it never disappoints. Five star luxury it isn't but if you are looking for comfortable accommodation in a beautiful peaceful setting this may be for you. The pub is set on the edge of a small river in a... More

This pub is in an ideal spot for those that want peace and tranquility. Nice setting out in the sticks. Bit too quiet for us as once you have had a couple of sherbets you are very much a captive audience. Food was excellent as was the service. Two sat navs in the car failed to initially find the pub,... More

Great menu- I'd particularly recommend the salmon and prawn salad, Sunday lunches and ice-creams. Good ales, lagers, ciders and wines pleased the diverse tastes of my family. Friendly and efficient service.

Have to say can't find much fault this time round. Booked an early evening meal with the kids. Warm welcome from the owners who provided the kids with some colouring books etc to keep them amused. Decent food, piping hot calamari starter which went down a treat as did the lovely scampi and chips all washed down with a couple... More
