The selection of tea available is amazing. Anyone who enjoys their tea will love it! It's a quaint tearoom where you can enjoy a quiet lunch or afternoon tea. The cream tea offers a generous amount of clotted cream and jam (something that is lacking in many places that offer cream teas). Traditional bone china is used. A lovely range... More

Grey's Tearooms offers a glimpse into the past when proper China and sumptuous home made cake was a norm for the resting traveller. There is a fantastic array of teas to choose from, together with a splendid choice of cakes. I had coffee and walnut (laced with alcohol) and a classic blend of tea. Spare hot water supplied for more... More

We wanted a refreshing drink and opted for Grey's. The range of tea's available is amazing and the one I choose was absolutely excellent. The range of cakes also looked stunning so we had to have a snack as well. I decided on a Totnes Tea which was served with style ( as was my wife's Cream Tea) and was... More

We enjoyed a Cream Tea here which was excellent. Unique décor and lovely table setting as you wait for excellent scones, clotted cream and 2 jam selections. The tea itself was of high quality. After your visit to Totnes centre do visit this special Tearooms.

I have visited this establishment on many occasions now and this is the first time Ive reviewed it. It is a quaint olde worlde tea room, with a section set aside to sell vintage china and tableware. There is an extensive range of cakes and pasties and the apfel Strudel is just amazing! Sadly its not open every day, but... More

My family and I called in here whilst on holiday for cream tea and we were definitely not disappointed. We had three scones each with two types of jam and a huge dish of cream. We all enjoyed and there were masses of teas to choose from should you fancy something different. The other cakes were HUGE and looked very... More

A delightful tearoom with lots of lovely home-made cakes and afternoon teas with clotted cream and delicious jams, all served on bone china with silver tea service. Efficient and pleasant service.

This tearoom is a lovely change to many often bland and soulless modern cafes. Populated with a smattering of antiques, it has a period charm and the antique china crockery adds to this feel. There is a large selection of teas to ponder over, as well as many delicious looking cakes. We had a cream tea which was really good... More

A visit to Totnes isn't complete without tea here! A great list of teas and amazing cakes in a proper English tearoom. It's an amazing experience, even the service is very English!

We are infrequent visitors to Totnes, but having made it to "the top of the hill" we rate this as top of the tea shops. The ambience is a curious mix of Antiques Road Show meets Bake Off, and represents good value for a quirky and enjoyable experience. Brisk turnover probably explains how the cakes can be made in so... More
