Had the Angel breakfast but sadly lacking in taste of any kind from the sausage to the black pudding to the tasteless egg . The toast and marmalade for the end of the meal was served with the breakfast so was cold.on a good note the staff where very good and attentive

Angels is a proper tea room with vintage mismatched crockery, little tables for 2 and cake stands piled high with home made goodies. We visited in search of cream tea perfection and found far more, the menu offers options beyond our dreams and will need a re-visit to explore fully. This time we opted for the tasty ginger option and... More

Did not book however there was plenty of room for us! Had the Devon Cream Tea which was really lovely, at a very reasonable price too! Service was excellent also.

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Friendly hosts. Hot home cooked style breakfast. Excellent toast and jams. Loved the teapots, cups and saucers, excellent tea with hot water. Highly recommended. Couldn't fault the place thank you best breakfast for a long time.

Visited here with my friend as I was recommended by another friend who regularly comes here. We sat outside as we didn't book which was fine as there was a baby shower party inside and it was quite busy and crammed. We had a sparkling cream tea. The scones were beautiful (white choc Chip especially) and the bumble berry jam... More

We visited for an afternoon tea and the food was lovely. The scones were fresh and warm and sandwiches full of filling. Unfortunately I felt the service was lacking and was made to feel a bit uncomfortable on arrival and with having a small child. It's a shame as this lets the overall score down.

Visited this cafe years ago - so lovely to return and find it absolutely thriving. Friendly and helpful service. Good selection of all day breakfasts... Archangel brekkie is large, Angel is medium etc... that was the gist of it if I recall correctly. Nice quality food. Accommodating to changes to menu options. And what I really like was the fact... This is a wonderful place for all ages and is a quaint old fashioned tea room but with a vast menu. There really is something for everyone. The food is superb and the service second to none. Well worth a visit but I advise you book as it is always popular and can be hard to get a table.
