I'm home from Oz and fancied a chip butty. I walked up to tesco and purchased Lurpak and some fresh white rolls in preparation for a delicious chip butty. Paul's Plaice was closed! On a Saturday night! Soooo disappointed- I have heard good things. Luckily my brother was on his way home and found another chippy.

I really enjoyed my cod, chips and pickled eggs. The cod was fresh and full of flavour, the chips were lovely and every thing was very good value!

Definitely the best chippy in Torquay, love the crispy bits in the chips and the curry sauce is the best. The staff are always really friendly which helps .

Local to us, but value Fish & Chips around!! Over the years we've tried them all, but if you want quality at a very reasonable price, give them a go!!

Despite being pretty difficult to get to, its worth it for the chips. Fish is also very good but its really all about the chips

Paul's Plaice is a proper fish and chip shop that doesn't try to be anything else- and why should it! The staff were genuinely friendly and cared about the customers. Very nice fish with a thin, almost tempura style batter. The chips had a light tempura too which we'd never had before but liked very much. Will return.

Lovely place to grab a takeaway. Chips are crispy and soft in the middle. Everything is cooked very well and the curry sauce is lovely. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Would be my local if I lived here :)

I have used this chippy regularly over the years as my wife absolutely loves the chips( which by the way are coated lightly in batter). I find that sometimes it can be a bit greasy but they are fine more often than not. Not to everyone's taste but I'll be going back regularly as I've done for a while (gotta... More

After giving this place a miss for some time, I popped in for some cod and chips as I was driving past. I really enjoyed the food, lets hope it stays that way!
