Being a local to the area we spend slot of time at babbacombe and always stop off at a cafe somewhere on the downs for a cuppa and ice cream with my boys, so today we thought we would try the cliff railway cafe. We ordered a pot of tea and asked for a ice cream in a cone for... More

We are drawn to this cafe like iron filings to a magnet! Some of the most spectacular views in the Bay (the outside terrace is especially stunning) and an excellent food offering. As well as the printed menu there is also a small offering of specials on the blackboard. We paid another visit on a cold wet lunchtime last week when... More

For a delicious cup of coffee & a naughty slice of cake, look no further. The staff are hard working, friendly & professional. Even on a wet morning in February, the place was buzzing. My friend & I had a teacake with our latte coffees, which hit the spot. A big thank you to the ladies who work so hard.... More

The scones are really good. The place is very clean. In the main the staff are good, one in particular I did not care for, do not know her name ( wasn't interested enough to ask) However this negative feeling was wiped out by a member of staff who I was interested enough to ask her name - Sally. I... More

Popped in here today after a stroll along the Downs with husband, son and grandson. Was met with a cheery, "Hello!" from a woman behind the counter (for me it's always a good sign when a customer is acknowledged in this way.) I ordered coffee for the three of us, and toasted tea cakes with jam. All arrived in next... More

Went here for lunch with my mother who has mobility issues. Very easy access and staff helpful. Reasonably priced. The only downside was the female staff member (I think it was Lyndsay) could have been a little happier and spoken a bit more rather than just delivering the food to the table the wrong way round and not confirming one... Thank you for your comments about your visit. I am sorry that a small element of the service was not up to standard. I assure you that your concerns will be addressed and Lindsay will be dealt with accordingly (despite being 6'2" with a beard). More

Brilliant fresh clean surroundings I love it because of the brilliant cliff and sea views And it's dog friendly It is also wheel chair friendly I noticed. Great choice of food and good service. Would have given top marks apart from I smoke and there is a no smoking sign on an isolated outside table. Perfect for getting away from... More

The window tables have lovely views and its a very pleasant cafe. The staff are very friendly and are keen to please. The food is nice but nice cafe food but the prices are on the high side for what you are getting.
