5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

I had lunch at the Barbican Kitchen with a friendlast Saturday - the food and service were excellent as always. The pheasant ravioli starter was particulary gorgeous and the fish and chips were theh best ever. This is a regular spot for our girly outings and it never lets us down. Looking forward to the next time!

We ate on Saturday night and it was pretty busy but we both felt quite uncomfortable, due to the service was standoffish which we were very surprised by. The food however was good, we started with olives (£4) and bread (£4) to share, i had slow roasted lamb -for £17 i expected more but it tasted good. Husband enjoyed his... More

Conveniently located in the building where Plymouth gin distillery is situated. Excellent place for a break after the tour. Lunch menus are very convenient as far as pricing, location is very nice and the food is excellent. Celery cream soup is excellent and the same I can say about all entry dishes. For main course I recommend the fish pie.

Classic restro bar situation. Staff attentive enough, food similar to a 100 other establishments i.e. burger, fish and steak and wine the cash cow. Simplest and too young wines sold for maximum price to create huge GP. E.G. one year old Rioja and Bordeaux for £27.50!!! and no fresh fish on the Barbican?? Why do they try and put on... More

Visited for lunch on New Years Eve and had the set lunch menu. Well presented and tasty starters of Parsnip soup and a goats cheese and citrus salad. We shared a bread basket of good quality bread, chunky and malty brown and a rustic white. main course of cod pan fried with a crab bisque sauce did not disappoint. Too... More

Great location inside the old Gin distillery in the centre of Plymouth. Service was attentive, tables nicely spaced out, and the food excellent. I had the Hanger steak and my wife the Belly Pork. Both cooked to perfection. No complaints. It's not cheap, but everything is done well and we had a great night out.

Met a beautiful young lady here for a dinner date. The location is perfect and the restaurant itself is amazing! We had a starter of two nibbles which was enough and very tasty, for main had Chateaubriand medium rare which was divine only wished I had taken a picture! Friendly service and great wine, will go again.

Stopped on the spur of the moment for lunch today, clearly busy but polite attentive service. Excellent with the children and nothing was too much bother. Everyone was genuinely pleasant. Food was delightful, really beautifully presented and tasted lovely. All in all highly recommended
