I love this pub, I've fallen out of it more times than I care to mention. It's a CAMRA winner and knocks out some great Sunday dinners too. It has a great, friendly atmosphere and the bar staff are tip top too. It also does music downstairs but I've never bothered with that, usually the bands aren't to my taste... More

Title: best pub in town!! I went to Plymouth for the first time during last summer to visit my boyfriend. Thanks to his recommendation, the Fortescue was the very first pub we (I) went into in town and I can honestly say, it has been one of my absolute favourite places ever since!! Variety of different, local beers and ales,... More

The Fortescue is a great down-to-earth pub where you can enjoy many local real ales and a superb Sunday roast. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The best pub in Plymouth. We've enjoyed many a good night here. Recommended.

This is my local, I lived around the corner from it for about 14 years, it's a locals pub serving great ale and do a nice Sunday lunch, they also let you bring your own food as well! It's the community hub, live music, quizzes, Steve and his staff do an excellent job, if you want a boutique pub don't... More

I regularly visit The Fortescue with friends, they have a great selection of real ales and ciders on offer. We like nothing more than having a drink and sitting around a table in there playing games. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable too. Roasts served on a Sunday are yummy and very reasonably priced. Highly... More

Nice pub, with no flashiness. Best pub for rugby - free curry at half time . But would be better if they added a few small TVs

Description
A fantastic Real Ale House in Plymouth, 9-10 Real Ales and Real Cider too...an oasis in a desert of rubbish bars and crappy pubs. The Sunday Roast at £4.99 is a must! At other times feel free to bring in your own food from the myriad of food outlets in the near vicinity.
