The first time I visited this restaurant it was lovely, and certainly made me want to book again. However, the second time I was extremely disappointed. The restaurant has the most lovely views, but unfortunately, the staff really let down my visit. I suggested the restaurant to a group of friends and as we arrived I booked the restaurant for... Had a wonderful meal and enjoyed every moment. Provided a highchair for my baby, but I didn't have need of changing facilities so can't comment on existence/quality.

The Glassblowing House is an island of tranquility set in the sea of the frantic drinking-fest that is the Barbican. Its tempting menu, offers the choice of fresh fish that you would expect from a Plymouth based establishment, but may not always get. The food was a pleasure to eat and the service very good. The spinach comment? Said epinards... More

On what was supposed to be a special dinner for our last night in Plymouth was ruined by diabolical customer service. I am old school - an apology goes a long way to keeping a customer happy! After an hour wait for the starters, I had to question what had happened, the waitress admitted to forgetting to put the order... More

Maybe I just went on a bad night, but my experience here was not good. The place looks very smart and modern, and situated on the edge of the quay, it has a great view over the boats in the harbor, but that’s all it has going for it. Our server took forever to take our drinks order, although did... More

Beautiful restaurant, well designed interiors and decor. Seams to cater for locals as well as the tourist market. Food was delish and good value at £52 for two cocktails 2mains and a large glass of red. Enjoyed the fact that the mains were a complete meal no need to order sides.

The food was good and the service was good; but the experience just seemed to come up flat. This was a so-so lunch experience.

The location, views, choice and quality of food was fantastic and the pricing was very reasonable. The only slight negative, was the service was variable. Specifically the welcome, seating and initial order taking was great right up to the point we finished our main meal. As the mains were cleared we asked for Dessert menus, after 15 minutes we reminded... More

Came here for a 3 generation family lunch. Food was very nice but service very slow and we had to repeatedly ask for same things eg. they forgot veg for children's meals; jug of water, and it wasn't a particularly busy lunchtime. Lovely setting and attractively decorated venue but be prepared to wait.
