Had read all the reviews so had high expectations, we were not disappointed. Not only do you get authentic Thai food but you also get to wash it down with beer brewed on the premises. A local that makes non locals very welcome. My partner is not normally a bitter drinker but the owner/brewer recommend a beer he might like,... More

This restaurant was recommended whilst we stayed at Sinai House in Lynton, a 10 min walk along Lynway. We were made very welcome on arrival and shown to our table overlooking the river. The food was fabulous, we decided on a menu as it was our first visit. Everything we had was excellent, the Green curry was extremely tasty. We... More

We had been recommended this place by locals so we decided to try it tonight. We went in to the restaurant without booking, which is actually a pub with a dining area. With it being out of peak season the owner informed us they'd closed the dining area and we could chose from some set up a few tables around... More

Excellent Thai meal, well cooked and presented. Of course you can have wine, but the beer's pretty good as well. Unbeatable combo!

Thai in a pub in Cornwall! Yes please. Fantastic food, easily the best Thai I have ever had. Get yourself to Lynton and give it a try. And if that is not enough then the real ale brewed on site is also fab.

Don't drive past this place as it is amazing. Outside is not the greatest but once you are inside you are greeted by a welcoming fire and comfy surroundings. The main things is the superb food. I have eaten at many Thai restaurants and by far, this is the best one. The food was beautifully presented, spicy and portions were... More

The cottage inn is beautiful and the tables are well set. There is a friendly atmosphere and lots on offer on the menu. We went on a busy night so expected a wait but were sat there for an hour waiting for 3 spring rolls. These were nice but nothing special and we were starving (and a way through our... More

Cannot fault the friendliness, service and atmosphere. The Fat Belly ales brewed on the premises were just scrumptious and after our long walks the pints did not touch the sides. Oh, must not forget to mention the Thai food which was excellent and a brilliant combination of eastern and western culture. The setting is ideal on the West Lyn River.... More

Description
The Cottage Inn is a family run public house on the fringe of Lynton and lynmouth , we stock a good range of well kept real ales, ciders, lagers , spirits and wines, We are now also selling our own Ale "FatBelly Ale" which is brewed right under your feet in the restaurant.. The inn is positioned along Lynbridge and is overlooking a river, this can be taken advantage of most by sitting in our beer garden or booking a table in our riverside restaurant. Our riverside restaurant is home to Nartnapa Thai Kitchen, this is Thai food cooked in a rustic way, using fresh ingredients from local suppliers, we do not view ourselves as fine dining specialists, and do not have a huge menu due to the chefs dedication to keeping every meal fresh to order but if you do fancy some fresh well flavoured meals then perhaps this is the place for you. From Tuesday to Saturday lunch times we run a small Thai Lunch Menu from 12-3.30 Please always call to check opening times for Sunday evenings Accommodation is also available from May 2015.
