We visited a couple of time first for a quick drink after a day's walking and the the landlady was very welcoming. We then returned the next day for a few more drinks, anevening meal and listening to some live music. We spoken later to the landlord to find out they had only recently taken the hotel over after it... More

This is a fabulous friendly pub where there are a lot of regular locals. We had a great time there. The food is mainly good but don't order the chilli from the specials bored!! It was like a cheap frozen tv dinner.....however the fish and chips meal was delicious.

We really enjoyed this place. Although very busy, we found a nice comfy sofa to sit on and eat our dinner. We had Pizza, and it was great... the price was even better! Really nice.

Some excellent local ales are available. Food is good with a wide choice and generous portions. A friendly atmosphere makes this pub well worth a visit.

Friendly staff, great food & service. Will book to stay here on our next visit from Wakes 👍🏻😉 the staff are new in this pub & have made a huge difference to when we stayed in Lynton a few years back. Well done to new land lord & land lady 👍🏻👍🏻😉😉

I and my family had dinner there for two consecutive nights while we were staying in Lynton, and we found everything very good. It is a pub where you have to order the stocks and the counter, and the menu varies a little according to the day. It's a big place and there is usually no space problems.

Of the place we were staying this is an excellent local pub attached to a hotel. The food is very good as is the beer. There is outside seating for the 3 days of summer we get and a cosy bar for the rest of the year. The staff were excellent so make sure you call in

Good value food and friendly staff. This pub is located a short distance from the main street, but is atmospheric and had a great music mix playing, We ate early as we had jet lag, but plenty of people were arriving as we left.

We eat here twice and the food was really nice and quite reasonably priced. The main thing about the Crown is that it still retains its total character as an original pub/hotel and has not turned into what most old pubs/hotels have, these days. The staff are so friendly and you can eat in or out and outside is really... More
