We came here for a staff night out. First impression was not great! Dirty, sticky tables. So sticky we had to fight to pick our glasses up from the table! All but one of the staff (dark haired gentleman with glasses) looked extremely unhappy to be there. A friend ordered the chicken in creamy sauce and it came out looking... More

We visited whilst on holiday and had the carvery. The meat was nice and there was plenty. The vegetables were lovely and we really enjoyed it. We went back the following day and had a meal from the menu which was awesome. Hubby had the steak and ale pie and said it was the best he'd ever tasted. A very... More

The Swans nest is a large pub/restaurant with a very extensive menu including carvery, plus many more meal choices, light bite menus plus sandwiches. Something for everyone! The staff were polite and helpful. After our meal, pop next door to Toby's Reclamation yard, they have some great stuff too!.

Had a family meal here this evening and found it very poor The meat on the salad was very mean and amounted to just 2 small slices of ham whilst the salad itself was overpowered by a vinegar taste The carvery meals had dry beef And the chicken dish was cold The staff seemed young and inexperienced though polite This... I was camping alone and found this pub to be clean, friendly and reasonable. I had Lasagne with salad and chips which was all lovely, fresh and delicious. Treated myself to Cherry Pie and Clotted Cream for dessert!!! Good atmosphere, pub had a mixture of Tourists and locals which created a warm feeling. Staff very friendly and helpful but not pushy

I used to visit this pub roughly twice a month for several years when I used to work in the area about 9 years ago so I thought it would be good to return and see if it still served the food that it for. This visit was on a Thursday evening so not the busiest of nights but being... More

Perhaps it was because it was busy it felt like there were not enough staff? The food did not look particularly appetising, over cooked veg, over cooked beef and tough Yorkshire puddings..... Nice gravy! Once our group finally made it back to the table we realised that everything was sticking to the table, the plates/glasses/menus etc. asked to speak to the... More
