One of my favourite spots in Exeter for a quick bite or coffee! I love independent cafes and this one is so unique! Friendly, personable staff & delicious food with beautiful interior. Nowhere else quite like it!
We love everything about Glorious...the vibrant yet tranquil decor, the delicious coffee and cakes, the simple yet nourishing food, and the friendly and welcoming staff. Louie looked after us superbly.
Called in for a quick coffee on our way to an appointment. Due to the COVID situation the tables has been socially distanced so we took a seat. We ordered 2 lattes and they were the best coffees we had ever tasted! Temperature was excellent...and they were delicious. Service was brilliant, had a nice chat with the lad behind the counter. Will definitely return as we can’t stop thinking about the coffee! Will have to try the food next time too. xMore
I have been to this cafe a few times before but unfortunately my experience today was really poor. The cafe itself is nicely decorated but filthy. The gentleman behind the counter was very pleasant, but clearly there were not enough staff or cups to go...around. We had to wait 20 minutes for two cups of tea, and when they arrived the milk jug and teapot were encrusted with old food. The man had to ask some other customers if they had finished their cups just so there was enough available. The milk jug in particular had brown slime around the inside of the spout, as if it had not been properly washed in a while. We sat in the window on a broken sofa and there were very dried bits of food on the floor. In the end we left without even touching the tea. I understand that it is busy for the start of the university term, but having a few more staff available, some more mugs and a deep clean might have made the experience more pleasant.More
Everything about this cafe is wonderful, the fantastic decor, chilled atmosphere, smiley staff. The hot chocolate and cakes are amazing! Have visited many times with friends before and has never failed to deliver. If i had one suggestion, i’d like to see more things on...the menu as i believe there are only a few light options. In a cafe as nice as this, it would be nice to see some more proper mealy things on the menu to spend more time in there. It’s also quite pricey but excusable to keep local, independent businesses going. Would definitely recommend!More
We stopped here to have breakfast. We ordered waffles and cappuccino which both were a treat. Everything was prepared freshly and with love. The atmosphere in the cafe house is very special and inspiring. It's a nice place to sit down and stay for a...while.More
If you wish an unconventional and quirky Sunday afternoon meal, non-traditional and non 'Roast Beef', then this is it. I had a potato cum "Soup of the Day" concoction, spicy, aromatic and deliciously prepared - a presentational delight. Together with garlic bread, it made for...an adventurous continental alternative, and on a hot summers day an ideal choice - in my case anyway; and I am sure you will also succumb to its unique and original arty charms (Popular with students and the "Young at Heart")More
