The only reason I didn't give the lowest rating is because the service was good, food came quickly and the restaurant is nicely decorated. However, the food was terrible. Particularly the keema naan, didn't have any meat it in them, just some strange powdered spicey stuff and parts of the naan were doughy and uncooked. I ordered a Cobra beer... More

I've visited Dana Pani before in the past and have written a previous review praising the lovely meals that my family and I enjoyed. However, my most recent visit was vastly different and rather disappointing. I don't now if they've change hands or if they've changed their menus, but the food was very different this time around. Like last time,... More

Have been here 2 times previous, was very good so came back again. We ordered a beer we've had last time which was very good, however this time something much worse and cheap tasting was served, masked as the nice beer. I don't see how someone sees it as acceptable to lie about something like that. The food was also... More

Popped in on Saturday for dinner. Excellent service as we were only diners. (There were many take away orders.) The menu has been reduced but this is probably a good thing as previously there was just too much choice. We shared the poppadoms with pickles, chicken saag & prawn biryani with peshwari naan and a side of saag aloo -... More

Whilst on business in Exeter we ate at the Dana Pani as within walking distance of the Jury's Inn where we were staying. We should perhaps have foreseen the experience that was to come based on the fact that the restaurant was totally empty at the time we arrived. The service itself was good and the food arrived quickly. Unfortunately... More

Was a little sceptical about visiting here after reading some of the mixed reviews but as it was the nearest to my hotel I thought I would give it a go - BIG mistake! This has to be the worst Indian Restaurant I have ever been in! Sheekh kebab starter wasn't too bad but the main course was on a... More

Went here with 3 teenagers, food was truly awful, poor standard and hardly edible made of cheap ingredients. The place was empty and cold. The meal was way over priced for such appalling quality this is my first review on trip advisor but the place was so bad I felt I had to write something. Prawn curry was some liquid... More

Food: There was a little bit of a wait for the main course, considering it wasn't particularly busy, but the food made up for it. Got the chicken makhani, which was really nice with the perfect level of spice. The cheese naan was okay, but sort of tasted like they'd used the mildest cheddar possible. Service: There seemed to be... More

Service is so slow. Drink served one at a time. 16oz glasses single shot of vodka top to the top with flat coke. Pint of cobra beer the head was spooned out so the barman could top it up. Take away orders being taken over the phone in Ended up walking out after waiting a hour & still no food.... More
