I popped in here on my way home last Saturday looking for an early evening supper or bar snack. The meal I ordered was one of the best I have ever eaton... roast shoulder of lamb in a wonderful rich wine reduction with four vegetables all freshly prepared. A summer pudding followed and a glass of really excellent Rioja. The... More

2nd time we have visited as a family and food just keeps getting better. The staff are fantastic, friendly and attentive without been overbearing. Myself and partner had steak which was cooked to perfection and the cheese sauce is to die for. I was particular impressed how flexible they were with children's food in which they offered to do smaller... More

We came here on a Sunday afternoon for a quick drink, and ended up ordering a cream tea for two. It was absolutely HUGE and really delicious (the fruit scones were amazing) and we ate out in the garden which was lovely. We really enjoyed ourselves and we'll be returning for dinner soon!

We stopped after seeing the pub garden. Decided to have dinner and we weren't upset. The meal was delicious and we would definitely recommend.

Good place for a casual meal. We found the landlord and staff very friendly. The pub has two floors. Downstairs is rustic and we preferred this. Upstairs is spacious and a little more modern and fine for families. The food is good pub food. Good service, we did not have to wait long for our food. I could not fault... More

We stopped off for lunch after driving past and spotting the pub garden. They had finished serving food at 2pm but were good enough to let us order sandwiches and then desserts. The sandwiches and salad were fresh and tasty and the sticky toffee pudding and lemon tart were delicious. A lovely country pub with friendly staff.

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we were told to visit the Manor Inn from our holiday cottage. We waited ages to order our drinks. Had to ask the waitress if we may sit and order food as she didn't welcome us, but this was obviously an inconvenience. She told us to take a seat and that she would... More

Visited for lunch having had the recommendations of friends. It was all they said it was..... Not always the case... ...and met expectations. Good pub menu with a range of specials including fish, pork loin and a curry. I went for the pork. Beautifully cooked, moist and tender, with good mash potato and fresh vegetables. The dishes served to a... More

Consistently reliable, with good main courses and usually excellent veg and options for potato dishes; not always convinced by the desserts, but the ice-cream is good.
