Over the last 18 months this has become our venue of choice for breakfast when going to/from Exeter with our student daughter. Food is always excellent, they are willing to substitute alternative items where our daughter being fussy won’t eat eggs (which didn’t happen in...More

We decided to call in for a drink and a cake after the visit to the cathedral. The tea and coffee was very good and the tea cakes were delightful having a hint of nutmeg. The staff were attentive but as I am disabled, the...More

We stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant whilst out and about searching for breakfast and have since adopted it as our go to breakfast place. Attentive service, very good food and coffee. Quiet, all the latest newspapers, just what one wants to start the day.

Recently visited the above café for breakfast and ordered scrambled egg on toast for two along with coffee. The food arrived piping hot along with some excellent coffee. The plate was full with the scrambled egg and I requested another slice of toast (did not...More

Lovely welcome and food. However there is no disabled loo, the only loo is up steepish steps. However, would still recommend

Cream tea or as I know it "Devonshire Tea". Pleasant restaurant in a Tudor building looking out onto the Cathedral. Good tea (No teabags) with a single pot giving 2 cups and 2 Scones with loads of jam and cream. Very pleasant.

It’s not as much the tea as the place, old house right on the cathedral green. Good tea, the scones are more than alright. But the view of the green and the cathedral is the real reason for visiting. Feels right in every sense.More

Today we went for lunch here and sadly we were very disappointed. The prices for lunch at this cafe are comparable to a bistro and on the expensive side. Portion sizes are large but the food is not fresh:( I had simple bangers and mash,...More

Hi. We do have two tables downstairs where a small dog can stay discretely. So the answer is yes (as long as the dog is quiet) but room is limited. At lunchtimes we do now only serve meals and not just coffee and tea. You... More

We are a daytime restaurant with lovely views of Exeter Cathedral and the green. We have outdoor seating and seating on two floors inside. Open for breakfast, lunch, Sunday Roasts, and afternoon teas, we source from local, small suppliers as it's good for the environment and the food tastes better. Our coffee is excellent, our choice of teas extensive (no teabags here), and wines, beers, ciders, and lagers produced by small, local family businesses. Open 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 5pm on Sundays. This is an independent, owner operated restaurant. We give 1% of our profits to Medecins sans Frontieres. Cream Teas are served from 230pm (We recognise that not serving cream teas at lunchtime is not a popular policy and admit we do this partly for economic reasons. Better to be up front and honest about it!). We are generally a daytime only restaurant, but we open in the evenings during graduation week, on Fridays in the summer, and for private functions (please phone us if you are interested)
