No one should visit Dartmouth without trying Alf's! It may appear a bit 'rough & ready' but the quality is brilliant. Just go.. Nothing else needed!

Went here with friends. Nice menu and even has gluten menu. Has the smoked chicken platter which was fantastic and the others had cheese toasties which were also good. Nice atmosphere and staff. As always my view on this day at this time.

We saw this vibrant place as we wandered around Dartmouth. Really glad we went into eat. The person running it was a superb host and she has an excellent team around her. Some great choices of food and if you want some excellent food in a quirky venue this is the place.

Visited many times and never been disappointed with food or service. Big Alf breakfast plentiful, tasty and very good value with lovely buttered toast and cuppa.

Visited after hearing other good reports. Midday visit and opted for the "all-day breakfast" served until 2pm after seeing various very tempting and some quite unusual breakfast options. Although a standard eggs and bacon type dish the food was beautifully cooked and clearly comprised of high quality ingredients.Delicious. The surroundings were quirky and different - even the toilet area was... More

Shabby chic decor, brilliant relaxed atmosphere and huge variety of breakfast food you wouldn't normally have for breakfast ........ like smashed avocado, smoked salmon and egg with thick toast. Good food, good service. Sets you up for the day.

Brilliant place, lovely setting, excellent juice and smoothie choice. Food is lovely and not shy on the portions. Dog friendly - even bought us some sausage for the boys!! Will return again and again in future holidays to come!

Visited lunchtime, husband had the all day large breakfast and I went for the crab platter at£9.95 thought it was delicious and at a really good price, it was very busy you must order from the person by coffee machine at the back of the cafe, we sat for quite a while before we realised this. Will visit again.

We stopped for a break in this very quirky place, the coffee was delicious, great aroma and perfect balanced flavour: not too strong, not too weak. Just perfect. The style of the cafe is very relaxed, everybody is so personable, it's a great place for families as the kids are given colouring books and little rewards. It feels good to... More
