A few years ago we frequented this pub every night on a holiday in Dartmouth and had lovely food and drinks every time. Returned two years later and had a terrible meal. Another two years on we decided to give them another go but didn't stay. Pint of Jail Ale was off - couldn't drink it. Pub was unclean and... More

Famous for fish and chips and scampi and chips, we enjoyed the roof terrace overlooking the ferry and harbour On a gorgeous evening it takes an age to queue for drinks and then to order food, which when it comes is perfectly adequate. My cod and chips could have done with fresher cooking oil, but they were extremely busy, and... More

What a fantastic position it is especially with the outside tables. I had an excellent beef pie and my partners moules were almost as good. A long wait but in fairness they were busy - but worth the wait

Visited after trying the George and dragon but they had finished serving food by the time we got there. We sat on the roof terrace. I had a ham ploughman's and my partner had ham eggs and salad (would have had a ploughman's too but they had no gluten free bread) We both enjoyed our food though it was fairly... More

Nice enough pint but £4:20 for a pint of draft beer is ridiculous. Lack of decent craft beers in Dartmouth surprises me, it's either standard lager or hand pulled bitter with nothing in between. Nice location as right on the river next to the ferry.

This is an old fashioned pub doing meals, and inside it's very dark and dreary and needs an overhaul. We had scampi and were not well the next day, which may or may not have been their fault??

We had lunch there one day and morning coffee the following day. We did not fancy their generous fish and chips and we had a cheese ploughman's and a Baked Brie with salad. Portions were generous with chunky salads. The Ploughman's came with home excellent bread but the Brie did not. Bread needed to mop up the melting Brie came... More

5 of us went here for an evening meal this month to celebrate my husbands birthday. We couldn't reserve a table in advance, but got to the pub nice and early. We got one of the last tables, what a relief! All our meals were delicious, especially the lamb chops and the salmon on a bed of stir fried veg... More

Went to the FB primarily as we'd spotted the roof terrace and were in need of liquid refreshment. Ended up ordering lunch - six baguettes - all with different requirements (no mushrooms here, no onions there - we all have family members that are faddy eaters!). On a variety of white and brown. All six came exactly as ordered with... More

Set alongside the beautiful river dart in the estuary at Dartmouth, The Floating Bridge is the latest addition to the Quality Inns portfolio. When on your Devon holiday, be sure to visit this quaint old fashioned pub. Enjoy the warm atmosphere in the bar or restaurant, or why not sit by the river and watch the boats in the Marina or the Higher Ferry transporting the cars to Kingswear. Relax with a glass of wine or Pimm's, why not try the fresh crab salad!
