Ordered lasagne but was later told this was not available. Then Ordered scampi instead This was a bad choice scampi was poor quality. Busy pub with no car park and average food. We won't be going back.

We made our first visit on Friday night (14 October) following a local couple's recommendation. Rang in advance to book a table as we were told that it gets busy. Arrived late, no problem for the staff who were great. Helpful and polite. All four of us had the steak offer which was excellent value. We so enjoyed ourselves that... More

My husband and I called in for a meal on 14th October after travelling to Dartmouth to stay in the Dart Marina next door. It was very busy, but we were told that we could have a table laid for six people if we liked. We sat down and decided to move to the next table which had no reserved... More

Having had several meals here before (some ok but mainly awful!) against our better judgement we decided to try it again. The pub itself was dirty and not looked after at all. The food was not good. My son had the child's pasta which in itself was ok however asking a 5 yr old to mix his own pasta sauce... More

This 'pub was dirty and full of flies. The toilets were a disgrace and disgusting. It's not cheap and if you're not a local they can see you coming from miles away. Expensive, unhygienic and a sorry state for a pub with such a lovely location. Try the Red Lion up the road and you may save yourselves an illness.

Three of us, two locals and a friend on holiday were having a night out in Dartmouth as we do a few times per year. We decide to us the floating bridge inn as we hadn't been there for a couple of years. The pub had a large board outside advertising two steaks for £20 - now correct me if... More

Good beer and wine with attractive locally sourced menu. Lovely cod & chips for which they are renowned but bouillabaisse defied the claim of saffron & turmeric - tasted little of fish and dominated by tomato soup; squid, mussels, prawns & white fish were tasty.

We had a very good meal in this friendly pub. Huge portion of fish and chips. The fish was very fresh and succulent.

We ate here twice in the week we were there, good food and service from pleasant, helpful staff, extensive menu and not to bad in price considering where you are, best to book a table at busy times.

Thank jbeez

Set alongside the beautiful river dart in the estuary at Dartmouth, The Floating Bridge is the latest addition to the Quality Inns portfolio. When on your Devon holiday, be sure to visit this quaint old fashioned pub. Enjoy the warm atmosphere in the bar or restaurant, or why not sit by the river and watch the boats in the Marina or the Higher Ferry transporting the cars to Kingswear. Relax with a glass of wine or Pimm's, why not try the fresh crab salad!
