A traditional pub with plenty of character. Nice food albeit a little pricey. The staff made us feel very welcome. A choice of cask ales. There is some seating outside on bench tables. Better all round than average

This is a good pub with helpful staff and lovely fish and chips. What more could you ask for? They have a nice small terrace upstairs that overlooks the harbour.

This is a traditional Cornish pub which has retained a lot of its original features. On two floors. There is a pleasant atmosphere here and the staff made us feel very welcome.there was a mixture of locals and tourists in the pub at the time of our visit. We only came in for a drink which included a perfect pint of... More

Lovely pub in a fantastic location. Small downstairs, both pub and dining room, but additional seating outside and upstairs. One staff member was very helpful and friendly; the other dour and slow and we were unfortunately served by the latter. The food was not nearly as good as we had expected given many of the reviews. We had 2 different... More

Friendly bar and restaurant rooms which seem to be heavily booked. Good real ales on tap as well as a good range of reasonably priced wines. The food was really excellent, much better than you might expect in an average gastropub. The menu was varied but fairly short which I always feel is a good sign.

Arrived on Friday evening and headed to the pub for a beer (local real ale available). We could see that the food was good. It's not boggo pub grub this is freshly cooked and local. Crab risotto. Sea bream. Plus the usual favourites like curry or steak. We had 2x fish and chips (with mushy peas) a beer and a... More

We stopped by on spec when on holiday in June. Lovely little pub up a cobbled street. We had fish and chips, and whitebait, both of which were plentiful helpings of good fish. Best of all was the beer - Betty Stoggs and Tribute both excellent and for the only time in Cornwall we didn't feel ripped off at £3.50... More

Superb Sunday lunch go early if you need to sit downstairs or have a dog as a lot of the tables get pre booked by the locals which shows how good it is 3 mains, 3 desserts and 3 drinks for £40 you would find that hard to beat anywhere

Called in at the Victory on a Monday which according to the board outside was steak night. Two rump steaks, chips, peas and mushrooms for £20. The pub was quite busy but they found us a table, staff friendly and a decent selection on the menu board, however we just had to go for the steak, which was very nice... More
