We saw this place as we were driving and decided to stop for dinner. It is a lovely place, with great staff and great food. Service is quick too. We were also grateful that they were able to squeeze us in without a reservation when they were so busy. I've gone for four stars (or whatever they're called) rather than... More

Spent a couple of hours here on a Sunday afternoon and had a great Sunday lunch. Roast beef cooked to perfection and the freshest veggies I have had served to me in ages. Staff were excellent and keen for feedback on meals.Nice country pub atmosphere and meals fairly priced. Good size car park too!

I can not congratulate more sincerely the chefs and staff at the Halsetown inn for there truly outstanding hospitality and food. I have eaten here regularly for an unmentionable amount of time and regardless of the take over it is as still as wonderful as ever (This Sunday did not disappoint.) The roast are incomparable to any other establishment, not... More

We visited as a party of four, we had a table booked and were greeted and seated quickly. The food was fantastic quality and the service was fast and friendly. For four to eat two courses with 1 drink each £90 so perhaps a little on the expensive side for a gastropub but it was very nice overall. Plenty of... More

Great food with a twist and very friendly and they allow dogs as well but call ahead to book as they can be busy and they need to put you into a dog friendly space

Visited for lunch with extended family. Warmly welcomed by staff and got a nice big table that we could all get around. Restaurant is nicely laid out - not packed in. Staff were friendly and efficient- lots of genuine smiles. Great menu - nice small selection of meals using local ingredients. Food was all spot on, price was reasonable. We... More

We had dinner here and it was lovely. We hadn't booked and they were busy but they found us a table for a bit later. The food was good and the service was excellent.

During our week stay we came across this great pub. It was a very wet evening so instead of walking into St Ives we decided to have a drive out. The owners of the pub were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The landlady is front of house and her husband the chef. We have a two year... More

Halsetown is a small place 2-3 miles from the centre of St.Ives; this location makes the quality and type of menu on offer even more of a surprise! Food has some excellent local ingredients and is very good quality for a decent price - three courses and wine for two was £72. Menu is on line and worth a look,... More
