My friend and I were so happy with the food we decided to come two evenings in a row. I even had the same starter twice (the chowder), it is that good. One evening I had lamb, the other evening I had fish. Both types of food cooked to perfection. Price is average, and considering the quality I rate it... More

We always visit The Beach Restaurant on our annual holiday to St Ives. The staff are very friendly, the service excellent and the food delicious. There is an extensive selection of fresh fish to choose from which is served with a choice of accompaniments and is well cooked. We'll be back again next year!

This looks like a standard Chippy from the outside, but inside is a hidden gem, it is a lovely charming restaurant and the food is very good quality. I would advise booking a few days before hand to ensure you get a window seat. During our visit we were blessed with hot weather so if the restaurant had air con... More

I absolutely recommend this place if you like the seafood. Everything was very fresh and good. I would advise the oysters and the lobster as I personally tried them. There is also an interesting selection of desserts. Very important: Better to call and book before to go, otherwise you risk no to find a place

We visited St Ives on a very warm day and it was very busy. We walked around the town looking for a lunch venue, away from the ferocious seagulls that take food out of your hands if you sit outdoors (which we witnessed). We saw the sign for The Beach Restaurant and headed upstairs and secured a table with great... More

We thought being on The Wharf, overlooking St Ives harbour, that the fish meals we had would be excellent. I found the chips to be fairly wrinkled, as if they had been hanging around for some time. The scampi was fine. My husband had the cod, but for the price, it was a very small piece. Thought it expensive. I... More

Firstly we would like to comment on the pot of tea, it was fantastic in a lot of places if you order tea for 2 you get a pot with 1 teabag, we had 2 and there was enough for 3 cups each. The chips were the best, we have been to Rick Steins Fish and Chip Restaurant in Falmouth... More

Luckily managed to get a table at short notice; the staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. There is so much selection on the menu it was hard to choose. When the food arrived it was tasty, well presented and great value. The waitress we had was so friendly and chatty and really made our visit. Can't wait... More
