We visit the golden lion every time we’re in port issac. Spent most of the afternoon having drinks and playing pool there. Sat in front the lovely fire chatting with the fab staff. Then enjoyed a gorgeous evening meal there. Never disappoints!

We popped into the Golden Lion for a few drinks and were made to feel very welcome. They serve fresh mussels amongst other things which were absolutely delicious. A nice fire made it very homely. Its dog friendly and there were a few well behaved...More

We popped into the golden lion for a couple of pints of Guinness by the fire after a lovely long walk. It's dog friendly, pulls a great pint and the staff are very friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Popped in on the off chance of getting something to eat and was very impressed. No problem getting a table despite them being quite busy. Will pop in again on our next visit to Port Isaac.

Came here for old time's sake. Golden Lion heaving so decided to revisit for nostalgia. Well. Lovely if you want to pay London prices for average pints (over £9) dotted with the worst racist intolerance ever. Had to listen to dreadful comments about Doc Martin...More

My Son's Australian fiance requested a traditional pub lunch in a seaside situation. Thought we'd be onto a winner at the harbour-side Golden Lion Port Isaac. Oh Dear! Started off with surly service from a barmaid that looked on me as a nuisance. Asked her...More

Great pub, friendly bar staff, cool games room, chef stayed on late to make us some cheezy chips which were great. Stringy cheese not just grated cheddar and mixed through the whole bowl not just on the top!! Beer was good as well 😋
