A very friendly welcome was given to us by Rita and her staff, and the locals. While we didn't eat there, I declare The Old Millhouse to have the best pint of Tribute in Polperro, so I drank as much of it as I could. Go and waste some time there!

We had lunch here and stopped by for dinner on our last night. I thought the fish and chips was excellent as was the 12oz Rib Eye. Mixed grill was vast, chilli good, veggie burger was not so good apparently. Lovely atmosphere, Rattler cider on draft, which is a big plus in my book! Staff all very chatty and polite.... More

Not eaten here but often go in for a drink on out regular visits to Polperro. The landlord and lady are incredibly friendly and make everyone feel as welcome as the locals. The quiz night is good fun too.

Brian and Rita were truly amazing as the place was very clean and welcoming as you walked in, also the food was great as they are gigantic portions for really good prices. However I didn't like it when I was in the bathroom as it wasn't very clean.

We had previously enjoyed the food at this lovely village inn, however have had two disastrous trips recently. On the first occasion we brought my 82 year old father in law down to Polperro especially to sample the lovely breakfast here, only to be told the chef had already left (at 0930 am), despite their advertising stating breakfast being served.... Thank you for your comments, I can only apologise for your experience. it is probably my fault that there is some conflicting signage showing times of food service, thank you for bringing it to our attention and i will be taking steps today to rectify. As for the quality of your meal i will be investigating to find out why... More

Comfortable stay in a well decorated room. Good beer and tasty food. A great base for a short stay in Polperro. Rita, the landlady, is a natural host and a real asset to Polperro itself.

Now Polperro after hours (as in after the visitors have left for the day) is a quiet place. So if you want a drink, some friendly banter and a good atmosphere, the Old Millhouse is the place in Polperro. Quiz night on a Tuesday night. Polperro Wreckers fishermans choir on a Wednesday evening. Great beer, good food and friendly staff... More
