Every year when in Cornwall we visit the Bakehouse. Quality food, especially the Chateau Briand for two. Excellent quality and such big portions at a very reasonable price. Service by friendly waitresses is great. Make sure you book, because when we have been many would be customers could not get in. Great menu, always a bit different. Lovely ambience and good... More

We had a lovely evening at the Bakehouse. It has a nice atmosphere with plenty of choice on the menu and delightful staff who went out of their way to make our evening special. The style is more relaxed bistro rather than fine dining but the food was excellent with fair prices. We were glad that we pre-booked.

My wife, her sister and friend enjoyed an excellent early-bird evening meal at the Bakehouse. The decor and ambience was first rate, offering superior dining at admittedly a highish price, but in my opinion well worth it, especially for a special occasion. Two of us had the Thai monkfish starter, which was sublime, and the other two had the soup... More

Recommended by the owners of the cottage we are renting we went for a dinner on a Tuesday evening. Very welcoming staff and lovely food. The squid in almond parator was spicy and delicious, and we both enjoyed steaks perfectly cooked.

The food is nice but not amazing, the service is very good and it is fairly priced. We enjoyed our dinner, but it was of a roast dinner type meal.

The Bakehouse has a lovely atmosphere getting the balance just right to create a relaxed and intimate place to enjoy a meal with Partner or small group of friends. The service is excellent, attentive and friendly without ever being intrusive. The food rightly takes centre stage. The Thai monkfish and Seared Scallops are both highly recommended. The Cote de Boeuf... More

Tucked away off Chapel Street this is a little gem. Excellent menu, good food with efficient and friendly staff. From what we saw this is a very popular restaurant and you would be wise to book to avoid disappointment.

We had the early bird menu which is before 7, every option on the menu sounded lovely! We would recommend the Thai monkfish with coconut and mango (like a creamy curry sauce) for starter - the best starter we have had!! We also had the spiced lamb ragu pasta which was so good, we couldn't have asked for a nicer... More

Visited here on a Saturday night, very friendly and efficient staff, nice to see a smart uniform. Ordered steak with a side of salad and new potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly and the whole meal was delicious, followed this with a chocolate dessert, which was amazing. If you are in Penzance then this place is a must, but make... More

Amazing food and service. We will definitely be heading back to Penzance in the future just for this restaurant. One not to miss! Booking essential.
