The Honey Pot is one of the best cafes in Penzance; indeed, it is often hard to get a table. This was the first time I ate lunch there, although have been for coffee and cakes or ice cream several times. The dish I chose was described as "Spiced lamb, with warm hummus, roasted vegetables and pitta". In my mind,... More

Hi there. I'm sorry you were disappointed by your spiced lamb dish. Its incredibly popular, and we used to just do it in the summer with an authentic Lebanese tabbouleh. The change to roast vegetables seemed a welcome warming addition to the winter offerings. The dish is just as I have eaten in the middle East, made with minced lamb... More

I'm a big fan of bringing friends here to meet up for coffee. It's a beautiful, cosy, we'll decorated cafe with friendly staff. I like the fact that it stays open a big later than all the other shops and cafés. The Honey pot offers a delicious selection of coffees, drinks and cakes! It's location is good and it's away... Thanks so much for your kind review. I had always wanted to stay open that little bit later, and I'm also glad that you appreciate the fact that although central, its calmer than some of them main street cafés. May you continue to enjoy your visits! With our thanks, Kath More

Needing a local location for reunion with family and friends I struck upon the idea of booking a table here, absolutely came up to expectations, brilliant lentil dhal, super mushroom and chestnut pie all rounded off with coffee amazing cakes and sweet meats. Not the first time we've been and won't be that last, great venue, great service, great food.

I have been trying to get into this little cafe for literally years and finally managed it this year. It was well worth the wait. The food is delicious all homemade. My advice would be as this is a very popular place to book a table as it fills up quickly Well worth the wait.

Thank you so much...and thank goodness you deemed it worth the wait! We do of course serve lunches well into the late afternoon, (provided that we haven't sold out of too much!), so you can usually find a table later, say, from 2pm. But then there's always cake too..... although that's not really my cup of tea!...... Thanks again for... More

From the laid back atmosphere, homemade cakes and savoury plates; The Honey Pot will far exceed other dining experiences you have in Penzance. It just quietly stands head and shoulders above the majority of other establishments in the area. I had a really beautifully made coffee - Temp and consistency of the steamed milk was spot on and the espresso... More

Only intended to have a mid afternoon tea , but the smell of baking caked drifting from the kitchen made us salivate ... The range of home baked cakes was a real conundrum , opted for the rugged looking carrot cake a s a nod to healthy eating , one mouthful later any notion of health became irrelevant , it... More

Thank you so much for your kind words. Every time I see we have a review, my heart skips a beat, (I slightly dread them), but when they'rs as nice as that, the carrot cake glow lights me up too. I have never eaten a piece of the carrot cake, as fortunately, cakes aren't my thing, so I'm glad to... More
