We were really looking forward to this meal as was highly recommended by a family member. Maybe the place had been hyped up and our expectations were much too high. Starters were ok - pretty standard garlic bread, mains steak was tough and the chips were undercooked. We were charged for drinks which we had ordered but didn't arrive -... More

We're sorry that your drinks were missed off, for some reason the ticket didn't fire through to the bar! How odd, we are upgrading our Wifi this week, hopefully this will never happen again.. A few notes from us; Please don't order a Well Done steak and then complain it's tough, maybe try Medium to Well or even Medium, I... More

Came here with a group for someone's birthday. Had scollops for starter and it was a crime against seafood it was covered so heavily in cheese and garlic couldn't actually taste much else. Had a burger with pulled pork which was ok but bland. The decor inside is quite cool and the pirate theme is done well. Some of my... More

Our Scallops are served in a dish called Coquille Saint Jaques, this is a heavy French dish and served with a rich cream, garlic, white wine and bacon sauce, then topped with cheese. Should you choose to come back I could pan fry them for you and serve with a sauce on the side but unfortunately you had the dish... More

A year ago today 8/8/2014 me and my wife got married and we had our wedding reception at captain jacks. We had eaten here before and always found the food amazing. We decided that for our one year anniversary we would go back and eat where we did on our first day of being married. Our food was brilliant. We... More

Needed a good seafood place for my birthday meal and as we were staying nearby we gave Captain Jack's a try, also since they were advertising fresh mussels and crab, among other fruits de mer. Delightful Spanish lady took our reservation and when we arrived on a busy Saturday night, she and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly,... More

Best place in Newquay. Really welcoming and the food was great. Probably the best steak I've had for as long as I remember. Elliot camm served us and he was great. Try the barrel and the mead☺️

They do really nice food here we came twice and both meals were lovely, especially the seafood platter. The staff are also very friendly and you can see into the kitchen as they cook for you. It is pirate themed but not too cheesy, we were still able to enjoy our meal as a couple.

It may be pirate themed but the food was still first class. We had the Brie and stuffed chillies to start which were great. We shared the fruit de mer platter which was lovely full of locally caught seafood. And the Kraken rum bar made my night!

Decided to go here on the last night of our holiday. Lovely looking place, great atmosphere, good menu choice. My daughter had the southern fried chicken from the children's menu, I had the scallops (pic included) my mum had the fish pie. Our waitress was absolutely lovely, friendly & great with my daughter. The problem came when my mum sent... More
