Excellent for Sunday Roast even if the decor is a bit like being at your granny's. Good choice of roast and plenty of meat plus brilliant variety of freshly cooked vegetables with crispy roast potatoes and Yorkshire puds too. Really recommend this if a roast is your hearts desire.

Came here without booking on Sunday evening for the 6pm carvery. It was quite busy. We were seated in the are near the bar rather than the main restaurant which is a bit 70's and as such makes it a 3* for me. I though we had left that era behind ;) Food was pretty good on the whole, meat... More

We have eaten here lots of time as we are locals, never had a problem, this time the Sunday carvary was just awful, we ate at the 6pm sitting, the potatoes were hard and tasteless, maybe they had been re-heated, the veg was cold. When we mentioned it to the waitress she shrugged her shoulders and walked off, such a... More

Good car park. Lovely welcome from staff. So clean could eat off the floor. Tables well spaced so not too close to other diners. Lovely chap behind the counter carving meat. Beef lamb and turkey. Well cooked, good selection of veg. Would recommend.

Where do I start...The pink chicken, the forgotten food or the worst service we've ever experienced. Not an exaggeration by any means... It looked like the staff had lost the will to live and when we said they'd forgotten an entire meal they said that pulled pork takes longer than other meals so could we please wait for 2 mins.... We were staying round the corner and visited for dinner. Staff were fab food pretty good, beers fab. It's a good honest locals pub and a breath of fresh air compared to some of the pubs in the town. we enjoyed our visit.

We was recommended this place by a friend and we was not disappointed. The parking is very limited but the food is excellent. There are 3 sizes of plate small, med, large with a choice of 3 meats and plenty of fresh veg. There are desserts available if you have any room left. It gets quite busy so try to... More
