Calamari, Mussels and Whitebait compared to previous meals on same holiday and other restaurants best yet. All for very reasonable pricing and big serving sizes even though we tried the starter versions as was moving on quickly. Great and very child friendly as beach is right next door/in the garden. Marked as cheap eats, but this is relative and no... More

Had an evening meal whilst visiting recently. The location of this pub is lovely - right on the beach! Food choice is good and reasonably priced. Good sized portions and reasonable food. My pasta wasn't anything to write home about, average. Teenager had a burger which he demolished, younger son had ribs which again he loved, husband had steak and... More

The Cornwall coast has many places where the needs of the surfing / beach going community are catered for and this is one. It's right on the beach, frequented by dogs, walkers, surfers , families and consequently it's a little scruffy , a little dated but there's a great view, good beer and food at reasonable prices.

A pub on the beach is what a lot of holiday makers dream of! The Mermaid is a good reasonably priced pub with decent pub grub and some nice Chef Specials. Don't expect silver service or caviar as you will be disappointed. But do expect a good welcome by the friendly staff and a decent sized helpings. During the summer... More

A lively public with character. Plenty going on - quiz night, race nights etc. Not a place to go if you are looking for a quiet meal in!

Well we stayed in the camp site across the road and this is the only pub in the village so we went over on Sunday for lunch. The carvery had finished by 10 mins but there was plenty of food left on the hot plates and we were told we could not have this food. We chose from the menu... More

Frequented this bar a few times whilst staying on holiday at the caravan park across the road. The front bar is more local, looks like a proper bar. The back area has a 'beach shack' feel, it also has a door to the patio that is virtually on the beach. Drinks, not that badly priced for the area (but it's... More

good pub grub on the beach, the food was excellent and the service was quick. The pub is dog friendly, they have quite a good menu and the prices are fair. A slight downside is that the car park is small but there is another car park across the road but you have to pay.
