This pub is right on the beach at Porth. The staff are very friendly. We had dinner here and it was tasty pub food. This is not a fancy pub but nice all the same. It reminds me of a pub from years ago. Sticky tables, dark wood and garish carpets. Very popular with camp site holiday makers from over... More

Considering this is a very busy pub, we eat here 3 times and didn't have a bad meal once. Everything was hot, service was pretty rapid and happy, although the atmosphere is a little frantic at times. Don't expect gourmet food, but I suspect there's minimal microwave usage and the portions are pretty decent. Prices are above average, but not... More

Massive menu, massive portions, massive bar selections, great prices and fast service. We were very happy with our visit. The outside area is a little small and can be challenging to find a table in the good weather but there is loads of space inside. Toilet areas could do with a refresh.

This inn is right on the beach and it's thronged with cheerful people straight from the beach. The service matches the clientele. It's a pub so you order your food at the counter and they serve you at the table. We went there twice for lunch and it was really worth it. Good beer and good food. Burgers, sandwiches and... More

We popped in here for lunch as it looked busy but it's right on the beach , tidy enough inside although toilets weren't the best for cleanliness. Ordered nachos with cheese (most were burnt) chilli con carne and rice (chilli was very watery) scampi and chips (scampi was over cooked and hard) and a choc brownie and ice cream for... More

Ideal situation right on Porth Beach looks like the back bar has been refurbished, decent menu with something for everyone not cheap but reasonable prices, friendly staff good service. It's an ok place but unremarkable.

Very large inside seating area, rustic paint work. The food was served quickly and the staff were polite. Not really somewhere I'd want to go to regularly.

We like coming here for a beer and a the view of Porth Beach. We decided to have the Fish and Chips and I am not sure why but might be something to do with the Rapeseed Oil I believe they are cooked in, but they were very lacking in taste and batter with some Crunch! They were soggy if... More

Myself and my partner were on a mini break at a hotel near here. We decided to visit the mermaid inn for a meal before we went out for the evening. The inn has lovely surroundings and the food was lovely. We returned the next day for a couple of drinks outside. Very casual feel about the place.

This friendly beach pub is a real pleasure to visit. The staff are friendly and attentive, nothing is to much of a problem. The beer is great especially local ales, and the food, well if you are hungry you won't be after eating there. Excellent portions even to say you won't want to eat the next day. Child friendly and...
