Saw the pub en route to our holiday accommodation and went back to try it because of its odd name. So glad we did. Waddled out after just two courses. How anyone makes it to dessert is beyond me. Lovely simple menu of well cooked food. Full of flavour and very generous portions. We would particularly recommend the seafood tagliatelle... More

My partner booked us a table for dinner on my 40th birthday. Felt very welcome from the start, and the place looked lovely. Ordered a bottle of Prosecco and it came in a lovely bucket with ice and glasses. The menu looked amazing as well. We decided against starters, just opted for breads with oils and vinegar which were all... More

Firstly, I'm a roast dinner snob! I found this on trip advisor and it was close to where we were staying so thought we'd give it a try, we weren't disappointed! The meat was stunning, fresh tasty vegetables, crispy roasts; I'm Guessing roasted in goose fat due to the lovely taste and a lovely rich plentiful gravy! I was even... More

Don't be put off by the view of the property from the road, we did not have a booking but the staff were very helpful and found us a table. The food was very good although my wife did think the roast potatoes could have been a bit crisper..

We went with our elderly parents. My parents have mobility issues. The restaurant is without steps and is level throughout. The lunch menu is limited but very good. Within the few items on the menu there was variety. We had various dishes and all were cooked well, hot and as described. The is a children's menu which was plenty for one of... More

What a find! So glad we stopped here en route to Newquay. So many choices on the menu and we opted for the chefs pie of the day which was chicken and tarragon and which was crammed full of meat, and the rump steak which I could have sworn was fillet both in appearance and tenderness. Both dishes cooked to... More
