Came here as it was highly rated, we had three cream teas, the jam was so sweet and runny is was more like sauce.. clearly very mass produced! The scone was very disappointing and certainly didn't look as good as in the pictures. The staff were pleasant but we spent a long time waiting for the bill. Would not suggest... More

The nicest cakes in all the south west. A really must try if your in or near Newquay and you like cakes or sweet stuff. My partners dad also ordered a 21st birthday cake from he to be delivered to Doncaster & it was amazing.

I've been coming to Pauline's since the early 90's in my teens when they only had the little shop selling cakes. Both my eldest now 20 n youngest 7 love coming here. The staff work hard and I think some people just like to find something to moan about. Wind your necks in n think how hard it is to... More

Called in because my wife is a Pauline. Nice tea room above the cake shop with good service and reasonable prices. Cream tea well above expectations as was the toasted teacake. More than enough jam and cream. Would come again.

Quite simply, THE BEST CAKE SHOP AROUND. Old fashioned, family run business producing the very best cakes and light bites in town. Grab a lunch bag and head to the beach or enjoy a tea service in their tea room. Personal favourite is the white chocolate gateau - AMAZING

We came here late one afternoon, it stays open quite late, and had tea and a couple of cakes each upstairs. There was nothing wrong with my cake, just wasn't for me, poor choice on my part but my wife cake was very good and I should have chosen something else. Service was good, we were offered more hot water,... More

We popped into Paulines after being drawn to the window by the cakes that were on show. We bought 2 slices of cake to take away. My carrot cake was one of the best I had ever had. A really generous sized slice with a lovely cream frosting. My wife had lemon cake which she said was absolutely wonderful. So... More

Unfortunately we only visited here on our last day in Newquay , we wanted to get some pasties to take home for a quick tea after a long journey back. We bought our pasties and then went back a few minutes later to buy 3 of their packed lunch deals. An absolute bargain!! £4 for a gorgeous tasty sandwich, a... More

We went into Newquay, raining hard, found Paulines. Went up to the first floor, overlooking the main road, and had a beautiful cream cake and coffee. The staff were pleasant and helpful, prices were O.K. It could not have been better.
