Food that was on offer was expensive , I never tasted a peppercorn sauce made of just white wine & peppercorns , the bar-b-q sauce was served cold , perhaps the chef needs a little more training as there was only 5 people in the restaurant

The food was of a decent standard when it arrived. The restaurant was not busy so I could not see the reason for the wait for a steak. Also, I asked for Coke and was given cola, they do not have Coca Cola at the restaurant.

Don't think I can say anything positive. Poor service, old fashioned style and poorly presented food that didn't taste of anything. Shame as is has the potential to be amazing due to the location with some with the right vision in charge.

Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed that you feel our service and food is 'old fashioned' and poorly presented. As a team we feel we offer very good service and our food is freshly prepared to order using the finest locally sourced ingredients. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns in more detail if you wish... More

In November 2014 we first visited this restaurant and were the only people dining on that evening. We thought this did not bode well. How wrong we were. The quality and presentation of the food was excellent. As we were in the area again this year we decided to return in the hope of the same experience. Well done. Again... More

We stayed at Porth Veor in 2009 when visiting family in Newquay and thought the food was excellent. We visited the restaurant last night 6 years later and I am pleased to say it did't disappoint. The presentation was very good and the food was well cooked and delicious. The restaurant is plainer than I remember but with excellent food... More

The food was quite good but, in our opinion it was overpriced for the genre. We also thought that it lacked atmosphere.

We visited for Sunday lunch and were surprised that the restaurant wasn't more busy. The food was lovely and at £9.95 for adults for 2 courses and £5.95 for children was great value.

Had a beautiful evening meal, scallops were the nicest I have tasted, and a beautiful fillet steak. Lovely setting, atmosphere and staff.

5 Years ago we had a 60 birthday celebration and all was well. Not so this time. Party of 5 and four of us chose the Prawn Cocktail. To start with to put red onions in a Prawn Cocktail is not the done thing... they are too powerful. Also when you have a Prawn Cocktail it is usually served with... More

There is nothing quite so British as a mini-break to the Cornish coastline, and Beaucliffes is a stellar restaurant in Porth tucked away inside the Porth Veor Manor Hotel that is ideal for romantic mini-break meals for two. With coastal views and a superb modern dining room this restaurant has oodles of nostlagic charm without the decaying decor, and is popular with both daytrippers and locals. Beaucliffe's locally sourced, seasonally changing menu offers a variety of British classics with a noughties twist, and signature dishes include the medallions of Westcountry pork tenderloin with a red cabbage, garlic and lime coleslaw and mustard dressing, and the seared Cornish beef with colcannon mash and Guinness gravy.
