Wow! After hours of looking (online) at various pubs and restaurants in Cornwall to use for our daughter's wedding reception, we decided that The Old Sail Loft ticked our boxes. Cute, rustic, in a lovely location, lovely food and we didn't have to take out...a loan. We live miles away, so I had chosen this place on reviews and a website! So what did we think..... The location was great. The place itself was perfect! The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient . The food exceeded our expectations. Absolutely delicious . Michelin star! I'm so pleased and get that we found this super restaurant. Thank you to everyone for all their efforts on January 14 2023. 👍🏼😉😀More

Visited for a small birthday meal with friends on Saturday. The place was busy and had a great atmosphere. A small wedding party were at the venue, but that didn't detract from the level of service and the excellent food. Would recommend the fillet steak,...but all of the meals were equally well enjoyed. Great place to visitMore

Had a really fab Christmas meal at The Old Sail Loft. They have gone to town decorating the restaurant and with very imaginative Christmas displays. The food was again delicious and well presented. I had the goats cheese tart to start. My husband had the...croquettes which were so tasty. The traditional Turkey dinner was packed full of flavour and textures. My dessert was divine : deep fried apple pie served with a vanilla ice cream in a “bath” of vanilla custard. The service was very attentive and friendly. Thank you for a fab eveningMore

Excellent meal at a lovely little restaurant in Looe. The main menu could have a few more options but we had enough on this occasion to satisfy. Went for the three course at 29 and was excellent. Great starter and main and a dessert that...was worth the visit alone. You must get the deep fried apple pie (no pic sorry) Nice friendly attentive staff, will defo visit again if back in townMore

We were so looking forward to our visit as we had read good things about this place. We were not let down. It was absolutely fabulous. The decor was perfect, the staff so professional and friendly, the food amazing and terrific value for money. Perfect....By the end of our starter we were discussing returning by the end of the week. We had booked for Friday before the end of the main course! The set menu gave excellent choice with ample portions. We are only visiting for the week. I have been so impressed with the food at the Old Sail Loft these past couple of years. It is our first choice restaurant whenever we meet up with friends. The set menu is great value and so delicious. Last week I started off with...a pork terrine which was topped with very tasty sauces/emulsions. Main course was a hake Kiev with crunchy layered potatoes and perfectly cooked broccoli. I finished off with the white chocolate bar. Other desserts were a beautifully presented autumn crumble and a meringue and ice cream sandwich : yummy!!More

This wasn’t our first visit to the Sail Loft as we often visit when we pop down to Cornwall each year. The food and service was excellent again on this visit. My wife and I ordered off the fixed price menu at £22 for 2...course and £27 for 3 course. My wife had the mussels and chorizo for starter which she said was excellent but thought the home made chorizo was quite powerful and overpowered the dish slightly, maybe smaller chunks of chorizo would have balance the dish better. I had the warm plum and blue cheese salad which was excellent. We both had the short rib for main which was beautifully tender and succulent. We were too full for puddings!! Total bill £56 inc. wine was not to shabby. Service was prompt servers polite and sociable.More

Me and my partner stayed in Looe for a week and after reading reviews we needed to experience an evening at the Old Sail Loft. We were definitely not disappointed. The food was gorgeous, wine was beautiful and the atmosphere was perfect. We are looking...forward to visiting again on our next trip to Looe. We also visited a couple of times for drinks and was recommended the Tarquins Cornish Gin and told an interesting fact about each bottle! Gin was gorgeous and it is now officially my go to drink.More

So me and my partner thought we would take our 2.5 year old son to dinner. It was not a good idea! However, the staff helped and made sure he had everything he needed as he would not sit still and wanted to look at...the fish tank for the entire meal. And we are so grateful for the lady who said she would stand with him at the fish tank so we had 10 mins to finish our meal. She was a god send!!! Thank you so much for all your help and the food is incredible! We will return on our own! And thank you for allowing us to take our desserts with us. You were very accommodating.More
