Had a lovely meal delivered tonight. Just telephoned the order through, it was delivered on time, to our caravan at Polperro park. We were able to pay the friendly delivery driver cash (this included a very reasonable delivery charge of £4) and we all enjoyed...a really lovely, tasty Chinese meal. Would be happy to recommend this Chinese restaurant to anyone thinking of ordering from them. It was delicious and very good value for money.More
Delivery was over 90 minutes, but said that when ordered, so not fast but aware of time. Friendly driver, all good warm and tasty. Seem to have improved!
Food was nice enough and hot. The service was pleasant but only 2 ladies working so we had long waits. Plates weren’t cleared between courses so we had a stack on the end of the table by the end of the evening. We were charged...for 2 rounds of drinks (we only had 1) and they charged us adult price for our 11 year old (adult is apparently over 10????, not where I’m from!!) The restaurant and toilets and very shabby, wouldn’t return.More
Had a great take away on Thursday, really hot, delivery was on time and the phone service was second to none, thank you.
It has always been scruffy but is definitely getting worse. Owners kids friends freely wandering around being rude and noisy while you eat. Two main dishes came out and had to wait five minutes for rice and noodles. Waiter looked scruffy and never took his...coat off although he was pleasant. Big lumps of horrible looking ice in coke. Cost over £50 for two meals and three cokes! Not going again. We need a decent Chinese in Looe!!More
Can't fault the service here, we made a mistake on our order (adding an extra dish), so we called them, and they said we could have a free dish next time. Fast forward to 'next time', and we placed an order online only to receive...a call two mins later asking if we would like our free dish with this order. Online waiting time said an hour and the food arrived piping hot in about 25 mins. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Would definitely recommend 👌More
they tried to charge my credit card £65 for an order of £32.50 they don't issue receipts fortunately I checked my bank app whilst in there as another customer was complaining about the same thing. THIS WAS REPORTED TO POLICE AND VISA
We looked at the menu for a set meal for 2, £32 , thought this was reasonable, the carpet leading up to the restaurant was filthy and worn ,wish we left there and then ,the restaurant was being used as a store cupboard for at least...40 large boxes of cooking oil ,we only drank a can of coke each,£2.60 a can, the food was average, the young waitress was polite and nice, but the male waiter was so miserable, after we had eaten I asked him to throw the serving dish away as it had a large chip out at the side, and to be careful when he picked the dish ,they added nearly £6 service charge to our bill,£56 .80 won’t be returning In future this restaurant needs to show the eating in menu at the doorMore
1 of the curry dishes we have had courtesy call call sayin food woz late but my word well worth the wait can't thank u enough
Not good at all. Prawn toast was overcooked, salt and pepper tofu was terrible consisting of puffed up over fried tofu and none of the normal breadcrumb coating and with large onion pieces and little else - very weird. Same goes for the salt and...pepper chips, nothing like I've had in other restaurants. Overall poor quality and poor value.More
All in all a poor experience. a) Having booked a table on-line it's last statement was that a member of the restaurant staff would contact us to confirm our booking - they did NOT. b) on arrival the reception was good. c) Our shared mixed...starter was barely adequate, poorly presented and limited value for money. d) Our main courses were fresh, tasty but expensive. e) Like for like the meal was expensive compared with our experience of other Chinese restaurants including some in London's China town. This was compounded by the imposition of a 10% "Service Charge". Overall our experience was not good.More
Looks in need of a good clean. Was reasonably priced although didn’t taste that fantastic We had a starters each Ribs and chicken satay both tasted really delicious Then for our main course we had crispy chilli chicken with egg fried rice Chicken balls with...sweet and sour balls with biked rice was very filling as loads of batter We had 1 beer and 2 Diet Coke and it cost £ 53 which I’d ok but would’ve been amazing if the main courses were goodMore
Had two takeaways delivered in a weeks holiday. First was friendly and quick and the food was still hot. The second delivery took two hours and the food needed microwaving on arrival. The driver was not particularly friendly. The food it’s self is below average....Salt and pepper chips, soggy in a plastic tube with o ions all over (never had anything quite as Wierd) no last or pepper taste at all. Rest of dishes were clearly bulk sauces with poor quality ‘catering’ meat in. Lack of choice for delivery in Looe which probably make this place busy. But I won’t be back,More
This is a conventional Licenced eat-in Restaurant which provides Takeaways, plus Delivery service also. The Menu has what you might expect of a Chinese Restaurant, a good variety of dishes, including our favourite Starter, the Crispy Duck. Food and Drink order was taken promptly, our...Starter being delivered within a few moments. However, one of the attractions of the Crispy Duck is seeing it being shredded at the Table, which was missed, as it had been pre-shredded in the Kitchen. Still it tasted good and was much appreciated. When our Mains were presented we had quite high expectations, which were not realised. So what was the problem? Well there was far too much Sugar in the sauces of the dishes. It is well known that Chinese Restaurants add Sugar to their food, but this was excessive, so much so that I didn’t finish the Crispy Chilli Chicken dish, it tasting far more of sweetness than spice. Having not been impressed by our meal we decided to finish with Chinese Tea. However after 10 Minutes nothing materialized, so we reminded the Waiter, who seemed to have forgotten our order. When it came to settling the Bill we paid Cash, being aware when previously Booking the Table that this is a Cash-only establishment. All-in-all it was not by any means the best Chinese Meal we had ever had, in fact the local Chinese Takeaway to our Home produces better food. Also it is somewhat inconvenient to have to pay Cash for an eat-in Restaurant meal in these post-COVID days, where almost everything can be purchased with a Plastic Card or a Mobile Phone. The Peking Garden is located on the main thoroughfare of this Cornish Port Town. Public Car Parking is available, but in high demand, a few hundred metres away. As mentioned above, this is a Cash Only Restaurant.More
