First class food at reasonable prices and good selection of drinks. Plenty of seating close to beach and overlooking Falmouth harbour.

The Restaurant was beautiful, had a lovely atmosphere, with lovely background music. The staff were friendly, efficient and knew the menu and the specials board when asked. The food was hot and truly delicious, we chose different meals and were all delighted with our choice....The service was brilliant would highly recommend a visit.More

I note a review from 2012 complaining about smoking in the covered outdoor area. The designated smoking area was actually less smoky than the nonsmoking area because of a breeze off the sea ( not unusual ). I imbibed smoke the entire time I was...eating ( as did a baby in the nonsmoking area ). I had understood that smoking was not allowed in” a covered or substantially covered area”. The table next to me was also complaining. The staff were pleasant and the food good but I shan’t go backMore

We visited Falmouth for a few days and came across this little gem looking for food on our second night. Beautiful views, staff so friendly. We had steaks they were amazing, very helpful with fussy children food too. We loved all the games. This was...a favourite with all the family so much so we came back on Sunday. Unfortunately we just missed the food but the staff were still able to squeeze some chips in for the little ones before the kitchen closed. Thanks again for making us feel welcome and adding memories to our trip.More

Lovely view, just round the corner from where our cottage is in falmouth. We went for Sunday roast, we'd booked a table for 6pm. It was averagely full, but plenty of free tables. The service was good, but the meals were very "average / m'eh"...2 of us had beef sirloin and 2 had lamb. Unfortunately both meats were fatty and chewy, some of the roast potatoes and brocoli were too hard and the gravy was disappointing! (Very watery and greasy) We were asked if all was OK, and we told a bit of a fib, and said it was...but it was getting late and wasn't sure it would've been any better at that time on a Sunday, even if we'd have said it wasn't! The best thing was the puddings, we had banofee pie and brownies, which seemed homemade and were lovely. It was a shame about the meals, as atmosphere and views were great. One of the best things weren't of family games to choose from, so we had great fun playing Dominoes, would recommend location and views but maybe don't rely on Sunday roast!More

We come down to Falmouth at least once a year and as our flat is just below the Boathouse, we always visit. It’s always been a good pub with a great atmosphere. As a restaurant I have done a positive review before but I am...posting this because the efforts of the team who run it should be recognised. Tonight was the best evening we have had here in 15 years of visiting. The food is pretty well on a par with some of “ the places to eat” in Falmouth. The atmosphere remains and the evening always has a feel good factor. To quote Arnie; “we’ll be back”.More

My wife and I chose the boathouse for its stunning location and the fact it was dog friendly. We arrived on time at 7.30pm only to find that the specials board had almost been depleted. The beer I chose was nolonger available and when I...chose from what little was left from the specials board that wasn't available either. My starter of crispy salt and pepper calamari wasn't crispy and would have been better called salt and salt calamari. I told our waitress who gave a quick sorry and took the half eaten dish away. Our main courses didn't fair much better making the whole evening a bit of a let downMore

We ate at The Boat House whilst on holiday. The children declared their Steak burgers as the best they'd ever tasted. High praise indeed! The staff were all friendly and attentive. Lovely views out over the harbour and beyond. Food was great and reasonably priced.

I booked in person a specific table for my 24th wedding anniversary dinner. I noted reserved tables had a label stating at what time the table was booked. On arrival the table was occupied by another couple who were just drinking. Eventually the other couple...were asked to move which later led to a confrontation by that local couple complaining that us 'holiday makers' were rude. The meal was very slow. The next door table of 5 diners received 2 plates, followed later by another 2 plates with the final 5th plate being served once the first diners had finished theie meal. Our meal was slow arriving. My roast was fine. My wife's baked hake was on top of an awfully large portion of crushed potatoand was also slightly cool. On checking out I had to point out that my bill was a 'little light' as it turned out they had forgotten to include our drinks. Nice view but not as good as that from our accomodation. I would probably not go back again but perhaps I just hit a bad night and a couple of unfriendly 'Cornish residents'.More

Beer was good. Service was rushed. We were brought our main course when we were halfway through our first course. We were brought it again before we had actually finished it. Mezze sharing starter was poor value at £10. 'Catch of the day' fish and...chips was more like 'Catch of last week' and poor value at £16 given the stingy size of the fillet, boosted by the disproportionate amount of chips. After arriving at 7.30, we were brought the bill by 8.15 without being offered dessert. Will not be returning...More
