Great service, friendly atmosphere, a bit pricey

Ny wife wanted to visit a fish restaurant and try lobster. We phoned ahead as the website said to 'book' a table and lobster in advance. £45 per lobster, we booked the table but decided to look at the menu and think about our options. Great service, lovely restaurant, I had Moules Marinere (a... read more

We tried this place 12th january , i would say if your serving steaks in a fish house ,ie 6oz fillet. for. next to £20, mcdonald style chips and a few pieces of lettuces in a tin would not have us rushing back, i wanted to try this place, but my wife doesn't eat much fish but went along and opted... Great little independent restaurant. Unfortunately overshadowed by the proximity of a huge Rick Stein restaurant. I'd encourage you to support this small, local business. The standard menu appears quite limited but in fact there are lots of great specials on offer. If you like fish, this is for you. Great atmosphere, lots of early rock n' roll and be-bop to... More

Visited here some time ago and was happy then, so decided to try again and was just as pleased. Faces onto the courtyard of event square and is busy. I have seen it quiet, but not often so that's a good sign.

Definitely a highlight was the amazing and welcoming service. The restaurant gets really busy, but it maintains a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are attentive, friendly and welcoming, and were never intrusive, but always alert to not just our needs, but those around us. In terms of the food, the scallops were okay, but the hake, which was the... More

Top tip, if you are Falmouth and you think you have eaten a good fish cake I challenge you to pop into The Shack and try theirs. I can say with 100% certainty that my starter today was the best fishcake I have ever eaten. My wife had the Squid and it was first class. My main course (fish and... More

What a lovely, quirky little restaurant. Came here with family for a New Years Eve dinner, service and food was excellent. My partner and I shared lobster for our main which was amazing.
