From the moment we stepped into this restaurant the smell alone was enough to really excite us about the food we were going to be devouring shortly! The owner who looks after the front of house helped us to choose our red and white wine as I am not familiar with South African wines, offering us the ppportunity to taste... More

On a visit with my wife we got chatting to the owner and I mentioned my love of this seasoned dried meat and how difficult, (if not impossible) it was to get, it was at this point she pointed out that they make their own on the premises and it was for sale! I've been going back for it ever... More

A cold wet Sunday evening was made most enjoyable when we found this friendly restuarant serving great food at reasonable prices. Staff and owner were delightful. We will certainly return.

Read some good reviews and they were spot on. A small place but great food with some stunning serving ideas. definitely planning to go back to try some of the other dishes we saw being served to other diners

Visited this restaurant 18 months ago and impressed enough to return when visiting area again. Small atmospheric restaurant - say 30 covers. Friendly and efficient service. Food is South African and seafood and is very tasty. Had calamari followed by the Espetada. Both wonderful. All of us enjoyed an excellent meal. Not the cheapest - mains from around £15 -... More

Small restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Great food, the Bobotie was really delicious, as was the Espetada. Starters slightly disappointing, not really in keeping with the rest of the menu. Large portions so didn't manage dessert. Pleased to see South African wines on the menu. There were a few people in their just having cocktails, which looked great!

We were told we had to book in advance and I'm not surprised - there seemed to be a mix of regulars and those who had come from far and wide to eat here. Starters included some home-made biltong and sausages etc - delicious. What's obvious from the start is that the owners care about all they do and provide... More

Rang for reservation - told it was full. Walking past I saw it was empty but for two tables, and asked if we could eat. They went away for a couple of minutes and eventually said yes. We waited ages for a menu then waited ages for out drinks, which were sitting on the bar about 10 feet away for... More
