Had a wonderful night at this great restaurant. The food and service was excellent and it was great value for money. Can't recommend this restaurant enough to anyone who wants to try some brilliant South African cuisine and hospitality.

Carolyn and the team did an outstanding job catering for the varying dietary requirements of a family party of eight. We had booked ahead, the menu had been provided in advance and several dishes altered to cater for lactose frees. The food was creative, exciting and delicious. Everyone was delighted and it didn't break the bank. The chicken curry, tagine,... More

We spent 2 nights in Falmouth and found this restaurant on the first evening. The food was so fantastic that we decided to dine there also on our second evening in town.

Thank you to Carolyn and staff for their friendly service and the food that was amazing, especially the Calamari! It took my taste buds back to Houtbay seafood cuisine. Definitely recommend this dish!

I have walked past the restaurant on many occasions and the African decor (its a bit quirky) has put me off. We saw a sign advertising steaks and a bottle of red for the table at a very good price so we tried it. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lively and friendly and we we seated and spoken to... Falmouth has a street full of great looking restaurants so we turned to Trip Advisor (and the AirBnB guestbook) to choose. As soon as I saw Amanzi was a South African restaurant, I had to go, as I spent my childhood in Southern Africa and wanted to revisit my food memories. I wasn't disappointed! We turned up without a booking... More

I am not familiar with South African cuisine so only my first course was South African. A delicious spiced sausage on a bed of salad. Very tasty. The main course I had was a rump steak that they were doing as a special with a bottle of South African wine. I like my steaks blue and this came just as... More

Tuesday night special -- Rump steak with trimmings and bottle of (very palatable) wine for the table. Calamari starter we ordered came quickly, served with delicious homemade tartar sauce and greens. Yummy! Not surprisingly the steak was a little tough but cooked as requested, served with delicious fat, crispy chips, mushrooms and onion rings.

My wife and I finally made it into Amanzi this week for a meal, what a great experience, the food is superb (a limited menu but I like that, makes choosing easier), the service very friendly and the decor makes you feel like you've stepped off the coast and landed in Africa. The portion sizes are plenty enough to make... More
