We regularly visit the Waymarker for family meals, evenings out for me and the Mrs. The team there are awesome and we always leave talking about how good the food is.

My wife prides herself on her ability to do the best carrot cake in the world, and the Waymarker came a very close second. Lol. Best cake she had tried. Great service from the staff and a nice setting. Check out the picture of the cake, £3.10 for that. Bingo.

Decided to try the Waymarker after hearing good things about it. You won't be disappointed. The service and food first class. My daughter is gluten free and dietary needs are well catered for. The gluten free food on the high tea was 1st class. The scones on my cream tea were the best I have ever had( and I have... More

Had a family lunch here. Sat outside in beautiful sunshine. Would highly recommended the crab sandwich absolutely packed with tasty white crab meat. The cream teas are delicious. We managed to try every flavour of scone and they didn't disappoint. The puddings are tasty but on the dear side as are the mains. The presentation of the food is stunning.... More

After my mother-in-law recommended this place, the other half and I called and booked a table for two. We were seated in the marque (had the breeze been weaker we'd have sat outside. Lovely view of all the foliage in the quarry (nicer than it sounds!). All the staff were hugely attentive and friendly. Very professional and efficent too. I... More

Wow. We turned up here completely by chance seeing the sign by the side of the road and thinking it was nearly lunch time and with just a chance. Place looked great, staff very friendly and the food was out of this world. Just perfect in every detail from the fish (I had mackerel), the potatoes, the sauce down even... More

Visited first time after finding on Tripadvisor - excellent food, Rhiannon (owner) friendly/knowledgeable. Re-visited for elderly mother's birthday. Again, excellent food and service. Not cheap, but well worth taking the trip to find it (quite out of the way).

We came across this restaurant on a wet Sunday just in time for lunch. We hadn't booked but as we had a dog with us we could sit in the undercover outside area which was perfect. 2 roast beef dinners, one Trio of meats dinner and 1 cornish mackeral dinner were all delicious, genewrously portioned and piping hot! Service was... More

because of the roast dinner being so popular, thats your only choice .That's not bad at all because ,if you remember how your mams and grans did it ,then that's what you get ,.even down to the Yorkshire pud.The 3meat selection on one plate of dinner would fill the healthiest of appetites, and anyone getting to deserts will need a nap...
